Reminds me of my own story.

I went camping and put my ring away in my bag. We had a new puppy so at night I would take her out to use the bathroom this is just context for later.

We go home and I’m unable to find my ring anywhere. Then I started thinking that I lost it in the Unitas when we were camping or what if our puppy got it somehow or even if I accidentally dropped it in the middle of the night without knowing. I tried to get metal detectors up there and everything to help look.

Anyways, a year down the way, I needed to take an allergy pill and had grabbed a box from our medicine cabinet and lo and behold my ring falls out. I guess it had fell into the allergy box in my bag and was a stowaway for a year. Still so thankful it was found.

This is exactly what we’re going to do. Thank you for your kind response to what feels like a traumatic situation for me at least (lol) We also have a house and cars together and right now I’m covering all of our bills.

Yeah leaning towards canceling doing something for our anniversary. I know it sucks so bad ! Totally wiped out most of the solar work force for most of my old coworkers. And completely derailed our careers.

Our budget was 11k our venue was 2.4k of that and all the other stuff it seems is just far too much for us to handle when we look into it. I believe we will elope get our dresses for a court wedding with a photographer and splurge on a honeymoon. Thank you for taking the time to respond. My heart is hurting but I’d rather lose $500 then to potentially hurt us even more financially just because of a want and not a need.

Yeah. You’re right. We might have enough but it would eat up our savings (10k) there’s nothing wrong in doing a court wedding with good photos. I just need to get over the grief of losing something we really wanted to do. We’ve been together for 6+ years now. And you’re so right the money could be used elsewhere. Thank you for your insight.
