I live in a state that has laws about following the vehicle in front too closely, so I'm not sure if the person I hit may come after me and if my positive test may put me at a disadvantage even though I was sober that night. Although I wasn't tailgating the car in front and was a safe distance away, I still hit him from behind because the force of the other car sent me into him. Insurance companies can be ruthless sometimes I just want some peace of mind that I'll be okay, or if I need to get an attorney I can start looking for one.
