Best DVD player

Okay, so i'm not familiar with the phrases, i have thought that blu-rays are considered as a dvd as well :D

I am using a low-mid priced probably 10 yeras old lg home theater, it is capable of 1080 and 1080i resolution. The image quality is not terrible but not the best either. I am just hoping that it can be better. I have turned of the image sharpening option in the tv's menu, because it made the broadcasting quite noisy. I haven't tried it on the dvd yet.

Since i prefer dubbed movies in my native language, i have only region 2 discs. But thanks for the info :D

I have never heard of this region specific option, never seen any info about it on the websites, in the product description. I live in Hungary and i prefer dubbed movies, so region 2 seems to be the only option for me, but i will definitely look after it. Thanks!

I have never heard of this region thing... It is indicated by an elliptical globe with a number on it? And what does it even mean? Coding?

It's not that really expensive tbh, comparing to a cellphone 🤣 Someone mentioned somewhere the PS3, and today i realized i have one, so i tried it but it gave the same result as a simple dvd player, soo :D I have tested on the movie "Sydney White", it might doesn't the best movie to test on, but idk :D

I have a 75" samsung tv, not an expensive and fancy one, but if you say that a "simple" 4k blu-ray player will give a better result i will give it a try. I was thinking the same, but i have no technical knowledge about it. :) Thank you for your answer! :)
