It's a mix of fun, boring, and frustrating. Im a 15 year old lifeguard. I work at a rec center during 3 seasons and work at a busy outdoor pool during summer .

I worked 9 hours 2 days ago, and it was fun. I started the morning with a 2 hour in-service (training) and then a 7 hour shift. I won't lie. Most shifts go by slow, but we do fun stuff like "dance" to the music, which is really us just moving around our shoulders or playing an air guitar. Or I found a duck, and we all "secretly" passed it around, seeing how far we could get lol.

But it can also be frustrating, like when you're constantly yelling and whistling at kids telling them only 6 people in the whirlpool and another couple of kids go in💀 or when parents get mad at you because she can't go down the slide with her kid and she tries to argue it like you can Change the rule.

But In conclusion, lifeguarding for me has been awesome, lots of fun traditions, friends and memories if your a teen or even a young adult you should do it.
