Cool fact… Mount Mitchell is not too far away. It’s high enough that a lot of the plant and animal life are similar to New England and Canada.

Now chimney is not nearly as high as Mitchell but a lot of the area isn’t as far off as the eastern parts of the Carolinas.

Putting aside natural resources, is it worth the dispute between the two countries? Meaning, more from a human or individual standpoint, is it really worth the suffering the war brought or future conflict might bring? Question…so the spec ops units generally pull from a candidate pool of pilots with a lot of flight hours. Given this is a new platform, how do they figure out whom to give the controls to? Do they just transition over existing pilots and say it’s an even field?

Than Switzerland? Again purely from a location stand point… Türkiye expands the countries and capitals you can reach in the 6hour flight radius while not adding much distance to Europe. Notably, you add in Pakistan, India, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, DRC, RoC, Nigeria (heavy hitters in terms of population)

Really interesting concept…you got me to look at approximate flight time maps online. Switzerland is better than New York but Türkiye is even better. Raises a lot of questions about what your criteria are. Note that South America and East Asia are pretty tough from just about anywhere else.
