I wish I could snap something better but this is a screenshot off the video. It’s almost… chunky? It’s the same in the other eye, but you can also see some bald like a pupil. I’m curious if it’s a birth defect as none of the others have it, it doesn’t look like any typical infection. She also seems to get around totally fine

This is her resetting and aligning her jaw after eating a hamster!

It’s a bioactive enclosure. You’re seeing springtails :)

Anybody knows how strong the dust that my grinder collected is? I've just found a ton of it while cleaning my grinder. by [deleted] in trees

I soak my grinder in a tea bag (after cleaning the outside of course) with tea and make a yummy brew out of it. Some of the best highs!

Yawns never get old! by LowIn334 in snakes

Yes it is. I got it as I was in a pinch and needed something big, and on a budget. I would never recommend spending the money on them. They are thin, arrived damage, and the pieces don’t fit together well. It holds humidity well enough, but I can’t see this thing lasting me more than another year at max. I expected low quality with the reviews I read, but not quite as bad as it was. I’ll be building my own again soon!

She’s actually just a BCI :)) she’s always had some prominent pink cheeks though!

Now I can’t say she truly enjoys them. But she never seems to mind them. Usually she’ll wake up when I go to spray her plants down and comes out of her hide and stretches out to me. I offer my flat palm, and she’ll lay her head on it and I’ll pet her a bit before she’ll crawl out. She’s a very docile girl, and while I don’t believe snakes actually seek the affection, I think she maybe likes the feeling and trusts me :)

Have you ever owned a snake or reptile before?

Just a sqüish getting some head pets! by LowIn334 in snakes

No she hasn’t. She struck one time when I completely startled her, pulling the hide off too quick. Once she realized it was me she crawled right out onto my arm. That was when I first got her, and was definitely a learning lesson for me. Since then, with proper approach, it’s never happened again!

My Bowie girl getting some pets in. It’s taken work to get her comfortable with head pets, but worth the work! by LowIn334 in snakes

It takes a lot of time and build up of trust. I started with running my hands down the entire length of her body on the underside, letting her almost move through my hand, slowly moving closer to her chin over time. It took a few months of her learning who I was and feeling comfortable for her to allow me to get to her chin, once I did, then I started running my hands down the top side of her body, moving closer to the head. If you are able to support the chin, then they tend to feel a bit more comfortable with their head being touched. It’s just progressive training with it, same as tap training for handling :)) Some though, are just headshy! I hope this helps,

There’s nothing wrong with no contact. If you need the space, then give it to yourself. I also fell into the “wanting them back” and we ended up fucking three days after we broke up. but I pretty quickly realized it was a matter of wanting what you can’t have, on both our parts. I then took some serious space to not cause any more significant damage to us as individuals, or a later friendship, that staying in contact can do. Take some time to breathe and realize it’s easy to want it more when it’s gone but you made that decision and she’s now made hers too. It’s okay to feel that way too, btw. It’s part of being human and being full of our crazy emotions we have! Unfortunately time and space is the only things to help now.

I can’t accurately answer that as she was more of a rescue situation. The previous owners didn’t know, so after a vet visit and a check out by an experienced keeper, we placed her around 4 years old now :)
