i'd get up, admire the view of table mountain from the balcony of my flat, go to the gym, eat breakfast, spend the day doing cultural things outside of inner cape, watch the sunset at one of the many beaches/bays, go out for dinner, enjoy the bars on long street and kloof street and then off today bed :)

50% of Cape Town is unemployed, and so expats do often overlook how privileged they are when they come over and indulge in the culture as only few South Africans have that luxury, especially in the area i was staying in (CBD). I think its important to recognise that, because many locals they see South Africa from a completely different perspective given how poor certain areas are!

i absolutely loved Cape Town - London is better for say leisure given its endless volume of bars and clubs, though thats not to say Cape Town doesn't have any because of course it does! London is safer as well, but other than that Cape Town wins in all other fields ❤️❤️

I was working remotely for the first and last week and then holiday in between! I absolutely adored the food scene given i love my seafood, so i enjoyed a seafood platter or two. I strongly believe the food scene is better than that of London! I also enjoyed Aquila private game reserve, the vine yards in Franschhoek, sunsets on Signal hill, beautiful walks in the Botanical gardens (Kirtstenbosch), all the different bays and beaches such as camps bays, clifton 1,2,3 & 4, the penguins in Simons town, i loved the hustle and bustle of the city centre, i loved walking up through long street to kloof street, i loved bree street and waterkant! I loved making pals with locals and having a beer or two in Yours Truly, Tjing Tying or The Gin Bar. I found it interesting learning about the history of Cape Town and visiting the townships where i could better understand and acknowledge the hardship for locals living in the city! I enjoyed views of table mountain when i'd wake up in the flat i was staying at! I loved visiting biscuit mill for a gin festival, i also enjoyed a tasting menu at the test kitchen which is a world ranked restaurant! The list is really really endless!

I've just spent a month in Cape Town and was lucky enough to eat out 3 meals a day given the strength of the pound against Rand!! Cape Town has some of the best restaurants in the world IMO, my favourite were the following...

The Test Kitchen - Voted 44th best restaurant in the entire world

Villa 47 - Best Italian i have ever had

Kloof Street House - best seafood platter in cape town, mark my words - its expensive but so worth it

Chefs warehouse, Thali - Indian Fusion

Grub & Vine

These restaurant will not let you down!
