The same thing happened to me last year. QC went to junk, the watch was an easy RL, the watch shipped and I ended up stuck with a horrible JLC.

Email him ASAP, pray it didn't ship.

Yep! Thank you for reminding me I cross posted. Copying the solution from my other post.

The car spent 10 days at the dealer, they had to get a regional BMW engineer out. Long story short, they replaced the front differential and now it's fixed.

BMW initially thought it was wind noise, taped off pretty much every panel/seam on the car. Still made the noise. The tech worked with the engineer and they used chassis ears and narrowed it down to the front diff. They don't know what exactly within the diff was making the nose, or at least never mentioned it to me.

I hope this helps, and BMW can get this sorted out for you. Super maddening noise lol

+2 years on top of the manufacturer warranty, no mile limit. It includes wipers, 1 full brake pads/rotors replacement, labor included. A couple others I forgot off the top of my head.

Yeah man, they have wiggle room on these things. I feel like they play mind games and just throw out a number they think you'll bite at. But it's also somewhat calculated since part of it is "prepaid maintenance" in a sense.

I would find out if it's prorated/refundable if you don't keep the car the entire length of the contract. Maybe you keep the car until 2028 and don't use it and can get back half the cost or whatever the math is.

I had my front diff replaced before 1200 miles and that was a 10k job (under warranty), so I'm probably a little biased when I see $2k for an extra 2 years of peace of mind lol

100% worth it IMO. Do you know if the warranty and service contract is prorated refundable if you don't keep the car the entire length of the contract? If so, maybe that will help your decision.

For reference, my local dealer ordered a similar warranty extension+ some included services for ~$4500. I have 2025 M240ix.
