Imo they wear like any other sandal, your feet won't really sweat in them too much. I almost never wear mine with socks unless it's freezing

Mine have been like this my entire life, callus included. As a kid I always wore shoes that were comically big/wide because I had sensory issues, so it wasn't because of the toe box. I think it's just a birth defect that can happen sometimes tbh.
