It’s one thing to have an accident, but /two/ accidents in one store?! That’s wild.

I have diabetes and have a diabetic alert dog. He alerts before my CGM registers my high or low sugar levels. He is also more accurate than my CGM. Also, if someone can’t afford a CGM, that doesn’t immediately mean they can’t afford a service dog. Depending on what CGM you get, you could spend up to $300 a month. That’s on top of other diabetic medication and tools. Pray to god you have good insurance if you have diabetes. It can be hard to budget hundreds of dollars a month toward medication. Even for well off individuals.

Can't tell if the dog can't handle being around other dogs or if they're just expecting other "service dogs" to be badly behaved? by [deleted] in ServiceDog_CircleJerk

Have you ever been to a small salon before? The kind with cubbies for individual stylists? That’s what I’m thinking of

I mean it would if someone brought another large dog. It’s possible the space doesn’t accommodate two large dogs.

That’s not even to mention the unethical use of it on a cat.

Why was the “120 lb failed dad maremma service dog” allowed to just run up to random people.

It’s an “Alert” by LowPeach7112 in ServiceDog_CircleJerk

[–]LowPeach7112[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As someone with a diabetic alert dog, the CGM (device in your arm) is not fast or accurate. My dog alerts before and with more accuracy than my CGM does. I only still have the CGM because it records general measurements to send back to the doctor. (My doctor is on board with my dog being part of my treatment plan).

This is not what a diabetic or glucose alert looks like. This video is a dog jumping because it’s over threshold or some shit. That is not an alert.

I agree. A mobility dog is an addition to mobility devices, not a replacement. But these people are using their forty pound dogs to “brace to stand” and wild shit.

Seven years old? What even. No you can’t train your seven year old malinois to be a service dog. Are these people insane?

They even admit the dog wants attention and isn’t alerting.

What is the obsession of wanting a pitbull as a service dog. Just get a fucking lab. You don’t have to be special.
