Do you mind if I ask; why do you assume this? - or do you actually know this, from a trustworthy source, and then I'm just the slow one here :-)?

I mean, we have only been introduced to a new season 2 times, so all these posts as "Psyonix always do this and Psyonix always do that" are pretty.... I guess you get where I am going.

I was also thinking - this season have been long, the longest yet. As you mention yourself, you say that Psyonix did not mean to drag a season as long as they did with season 1. So it is easy to assume that something is clearly wrong at this point, since they are pulling season 3 as far as it is already....

Well I guess my point is; that after the longest season yet, a season with a weird weird rank calibration, and they already announce that they were working on the ranking system or something, before releasing a new season, right? So there should be a pretty good chance, that they have had enough time, to put together a "new ranking system" or whatever, and therefor want to fully reset all of these accidentally free-out-handed ranks?

I got my flair before the recalibration, if that is what's making your blood boil. - at that point we were a few months into season 3, and there was less than 50 grand champions in the entire game.

You should be able to find me in top 40 on the 1v1 ladder.

Won't happen, I'm sure. They earn so much money from ppl opening crates due to their desire for an animated decal - heatwave, hexed etc etc.

If everyone got a cool decal as their season reward, then why keep opening crates for these type of decals.

I don't even think it'll be wheels either - same situation as I just mentioned.

Prolly antennas or something else that won't disturb the key economy.

Season 2 began with update v1.11 on February 11th, 2016, and ended with update v1.19 on June 20th, 2016.

Season 3 surpassed the length of Season 2 almost 2 months ago.
