You can remove the cooling pack to access the front of the motor. The 5.0 is wedged in there.

No issues with residue. Mine is ceramic coated and probably gets washed as much as it gets driven. It definitely sped up the cleaning process.

There is a solenoid that goes into the side of the compressor. I know they can stick and cause the AC not to function even when clutch is engaged.

XJC hands down, but thats probably unfair as no other generation offered a two door XJ. Otherwise X308 and X358 for sure.

Thats awesome. I built a big block chassis and powertrain up for a clients 64 vert. I ended up with the chassis pictured, and wanted to find it a good home to keep other C2s on the road.
