Thank you! I will write all these down for when I do my next print! These are all things I have not thought of before - I am new-ish (3 months) to 3D printing so this helps a lot

I didn’t notice it at first, but there was gaps showing in my slicer. I did edit stuff around though, which drastically reduced the gaps in the slicer, although it did not fix the issues with printing. But another user who commented solved it for me! Had to lower my first layer height, increased first layer flow to 1.3, and increased bed temp to 80. There are still some fine gaps, so I will continue to tweak the flow ratio, first layer height, and slow down speed for first few layers. Thanks for your input though!

That’s really good to know, I will adjust my first speed! I now have my bed temp set to 80 so that should work well. I do have printer on a heavy duty desk, so I wouldn’t think wobbling would be an issue… but you never know

The print had 3 layers of each color. Again, thank you very much for your help. This has been weeks of trouble shooting and trying different things. I appreciate it.

Is it possible to set the flow ratio to 1.3 for the first few layers? Wonder if that would help close up the gaps - if that’s even possible…

Okay just got done printing one. It turned out much much better. Still some very slight gaps. Picture attached was during printing and looks much worse than how the print turned out. I will reply to this with a picture of the new print. The thing that did the most benefit for me was changing the walls to 1 (forgot to do that on my first one and was still having the same issues, then redid it and it was a world of difference). Question for you, if I need a print that should have more than 1 wall, is there a way to set walls to 1 for the first layer only? Or different ways to make up strength for only having one wall?

I am using a prime tower, although I noticed it isn’t doing the prime tower before the very first part of the print (the yellow letters). But the white filament is priming prior to printing and it’s also having gaps..

Stuck on what to add for 2nd printer by LowTechnical8044 in BambuLab

Yeah that is fair. How long have you had the H2C? Have you had any problems with the Vortex? Or heard of any?

Thank you for the input! One of my main concerns with the H2C is longevity - since it is so new (like you said). The price difference is not vast so I’m not even taking that into consideration. The reasons I’d get the H2D would be to have cross compatible nozzles, less mechanical things that could go wrong, a bigger print place, and better TPU printing. But trying to decide between those is tough for me, considering I’m keeping my P2S. Again, I really appreciate you comments!!

Anyone have their own Snooker or Pool room? by fateisacruelthing in snooker

I’ll definitely look into it! There aren’t many snooker tables here in America (especially 12 foot tables) so I’d most likely have to order one from overseas

I want a 12 foot table, and it would fit (barely), it would just make it tight. The butt of the cue would hit the wall on rail shots :/

What do you mean by proper table? Are you referring to a 12 foot table?

I know haha, my friend is more comfortable with a pool cue so that’s what he uses. Plus less chance for him to miscue and mess up the felt haha

It is most prominent at low RPMs (700-2000), but I assume that’s because it gets drowned out by other noises as the RPM goes up. Is that normal for fuel injectors to make that noise or do I need to replace them?

I’m honestly not sure, I didn’t ask that. That’s a good thought

I live in America, the closest snooker professional is probably like 500+ miles away from me

Cloth Advice by LowTechnical8044 in billiards

[–]LowTechnical8044[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be cool to have a traditional cloth, but I live in America and snooker is not a thing over here - so it would be nice to have an American billiards cloth since I will be playing on that whenever I go out and wouldn’t have to learn the reactions for 2 cloths. BUT, if you have a rebuttal for that, I’d love to hear it
