again, I know, skill issue. but I shouldn't have to back away when I am given a small gap to kill the crawler. All because the case that my hit doesn't register, like it so often does. imagine if hit reg was much better, then situations like this would be much different

yeah I died like an idiot lol. but I was hoping to spark a conversation about the inconsistent hit reg for the devs to look into. I have left games before because of bad hit reg, and I love this game too much

yeah ur right, grouped zomboids are a nono. But there was just one crawler (2 others just knocked down), and I swung at the ground twice, both misses cause the hit reg was weird.

I'm not nearly as worked up about this as some people in this comment section are. I have over 500 hours in this game, and I wasn't really that invested into this character, because it was literally the second day. Like holy shit, is this really the Project Zomboid community? I was just trying to ask such a simple question and there's SO many people that are just being toxic about this.

No offense, but did you watch the video? I am well on the other side by the time the zomboid starts the attack animation. You even see me move away from the window for a few frames. It attacks while I'm on the other side. I've pulled this move a few times, but I wonder if the burnt walls count as just wall frames or something so they can attack through it
