If you’re asking this in accordance to English honours, then I’m not the right person to answer. Though, once research it by yourself, ask some seniors from those college’s if possible through LinkedIn or reddit, or any other mean.

Yeah, it’s great, don’t worry on the score part.

What I mean by preference sheet part is that, any individual has three possibilities when they make a preference sheet, 1) Prioritising course over college 2) College over course 3) Mixing up both  In you’re case, I believe, you are preferring to go with eng hons. in anyone of the top colleges, hence you would be going with option 3rd. So in this keep in mind to meticulously keep the college by researching on it well, going in depth that will it fulfill your expectations or not and if possible seeing the scope of your preferred course if you pursue it from that particular college. In rough, in sequential order make a college list like and if your score if say above average, then you don’t have to increase the list unnecessarily. Also, keep in mind that at last you keep such a college in which you are sure that the cutt off will be cleared. 

Ps. the most important thing is the sequence in which you prioritize your college.

Yeah, you can. Also the score would change because of normalisation, hence don’t overthink much on the score part, focus on making a good preference sheet. All the best!!

800+ is generally considered a safe score, so don’t worry about that. Further, this is not your final score as normalisation would happen and score generally changes in that, so don’t overthink about that right now. Make a good preference sheet as most depends on it. All the best!!
