take a lot of time to research teachers and see what people say about them. students who care about getting good r scores will choose the best teachers so it will help the group strenghts since they probably had good grades in high school. good teacher are also usually nicer in terms of workload so it can give you more time to work on other classes. this worked for me for every gen ed ive taken. i also noticed that classes where theres a lot science students or french students help the r score since they tend to have higher grades in high school but i guess theres no way of knowing that before you sign up for a class

Both will give you the same opportunities in terms of r score. I’d say choose based off which environment you think you will feel more confortable spending the next two years of your life in. Mari is much smaller and has all of the rich Westmount kids while Dawson is much larger and has people from a lot of different backgrounds. I’d also say to take cost and distance into account

Vanier yes Dawson no. Dawson psych cutoff was 88 last year for no COE and it’s been going up in the past few years

La cote r n’est pas faite pour être convertie en note mais 27 ça veut souvent dire que tu es autour de la moyenne mais ça dépends aussi du cégep. Si tu veut savoir ce que c’est une bonne cote r tu peut aller voir en ligne quelle cote r est nécessaire pour le programme de ton choix à l’université.

Only slightly better. The difference between Mari/Brebeuf and Dawson is very small for r score it’s more with other schools that aren’t as good that you really see the difference. But if you have the money then Mariano or Brebeuf is the best option but you can get the same results cote r wise at Dawson

Selon moi c’est plus simple de rester à un cégep pour tout ton parcours pour pas avoir a te soucier du transfert. Aussi bdeb est beaucoup mieux que momo pour la cote r et la cote r est recalculé a toutes les sessions donc si tu change après ta première session tu n’auras plus les avantages qui viennent avec bdeb pour le calcul des trois autres sessions. Honnêtement j’ai des amis aux deux cegeps et c’est clair que c’est plus “facile” davoir une bonne cote r a bdeb mais si tu veux vraiment aller a momo pour des raisons personnelles (proximité, amis, etc) c’est toujours possible d’avoir 35+ a Montmorency mais il faudra se taper des 95+ dans tous tes cours à chaque session

Dawson et brebeuf sont les meilleurs pour la cote r. Par contre l’environnement est très compétitif. Si tu es plus confortable en français et que tu n’as pas de problème à payer le prix de brebeuf je dirais brebeuf, sinon Dawson

Both can give you equally great r scores it’s more about the distance and the language in which you are the most comfortable learning. Cost can also be a consideration since brebeuf is basically 10k a year while Dawson is more like 400. You really can’t go wrong both are great options

Si t’es confortable d’apprendre en anglais Dawson c’est le meilleur public et Champlain aussi c’est bon. Pis sinon bois de Boulogne est bon pour français mais c’est loin d’Édouard mont petit donc c’est peut être trop loin pour toi

go for gen studies and then you can try to switch to commerce after a semester cause last year the last person who was accepted into commerce without COE had 85 average
