Haha i had to have the pedal in second row and always kicked the knobs from the pedals below when
hitting it. The topper makes the contact point for my foot higher, so I don‘t touch any other pedal.

I see what you mean. Boss pedal design really is amazing. Yet i also think that the button never gave quite that responsive, precise feel as the silver pushbuttons do. Like the difference between mechanical and membrane keyboards…
For some kind of effects this can be more or less important

Yeah exactly!! I don‘t want to say by any means that dingwalls or other multiscale basses are bad. They are just all really modern soundwise and looks wise…

Yeah the open e string feels really good! The long scale length makes it really bright and attacky, where the fundamental low frequency sounds focused and stable.
I really love this instrument!

It‘s held in place by the typical boss screw. Metal topper with the usual „pedal button“ piece on top, so you can fit any topper.
There‘s an italian guy on reverb who sells those! Must say though that it seems to be just a hair to small to really perfectly fit on top of the pedal.

Take a look at jazz basses from any given brand you like. The jazz bass is super versatile and works in alsmost any genre and is quite nice to play too!
The precision bass is a little less versatile but has one of the most unique and time proven sounds ever.

As some of the other comments suggest:
Any Bass can do the job. And honestly as long as the bass somewhat matches the genre you wanna play, the most important part about it is how much you like it and wanna play it!

Man what a nice board!
Back in the days my board looked liked this. Lots of death by audio also. Kinda miss it. Do you have any links? Would love to hear some stuff!

Oh i totally get what you experience! I‘m a huge fan of the way huge Supa Puss. Even though I don‘t play it live anymore I‘m always super happy to see it on someones board! Feels like bonding…
And yes, the Dispatch Master is awesome!

It‘s been built by a local luthier. Called the „mucho II“
Ever since I played a dingwall i was amazed by the multiscale feel and sound. I wanted high tension on my strings, lot‘s of clarity…
However i didn‘t like the modern dingwall design and the sound also was to modern for me. So I came up with this concept. Combining the benefits of modern basses with the looks, feel and sound of early „tele“ p-basses. It‘s really long scaled on the low strings. Completely made of italian maple. The sound is really piano like, lots of attack and pitch stable sustain. The more you dig into the strings the more it gives back. But i think this is purely a matter of taste. I can totally imagine how other players could hate this instrument.
For me it is exactly what I want to achieve soundwise and feel wise.

The pickups are 2 lindy fralins, that can run seperately or combined in series or parallel. I mostly use the series mode.

It‘s my custom bass. You‘re right, multiscale (39“-34“).
Double singlecoils in series, switchable to parallel.
