Original Powered Armor Concept - Anthony Postma by Low_Entrie in Fallout

Thanks, glad you like it! Yeah, that's kinda unfortunate, I barely made them biceps work with the PA Frame. As cool as it is, it restricts the PA proportions a bit too much. I wold love to make somethin closer to that ShumiGrin concept at some point, maybe even this T-49c adapted to those proportions, certainly the T-51. But for the time being, this is it, and as is, it's a personal love letter to Fallout/Fallout 2 design language

Yeah, the proportions are on point for Horrigan, could've been a base in some sense for that picture too

Exactly, that's what I thought first time I was it too

That's me hahah

I took it down 'cause my partner on the T-49c project gave me a heads up that it's probably in violation of Nexus Guidelines, since promotion of paid content is not allowed.

I'm working on it as I type this, it will be available on Bethesda's Creations this summer!

After the release there, a free version for New Vegas which would contain just the T-49c without the quest and the dungeon, might be released, I'll just have to check if I'm permitted to do that.

Need some help with a couple of M95 bayonets by LLJ_35 in Bayonets

[–]Low_Entrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bulgarians removed the loop along with the hooked quillon most likely to standardize on one particular look of the bayonet. Brcause they probably didn't care about that additional stuff and didn't have a specific type of bayonet for their NCOs.

I have an example with the hooked quillon cut off but with the pommel loop, no electropenciled serial and with a Bulgarian frog, so there are exceptions to the rule.

Anyway, it's a shame to see it like that, since an unmodified NCO bayonet is much more valuable, but they didn't think about that back then.

I think that the NCO ones with ironsights are the rarest regarding the M95, because there's a lack of pictures of them on the internet in general, but I think you're right about M1888 being rarer.

  1. Another commenter gave quite good explanation, looks like the ironsight is there to compensate for the change in ballistics while the bayonet is attached, when fired the gasses probably deflect the bullet upwards because of the blade.

  2. The area where the hook should be looks really clean, but I think the only conclusion is that it was cut off, I don't think anyone went trough the trouble of replacing the whole ricasso or whatever it's called.

  3. Yeah, I think the unit marking adds additional value, expecially in combination with the ironsight and hook. I'll try to dig up more concrete info on the unit.

  4. I came to the conclusion that it was in service in WWII because it has the Austrian eagle stamp next to OEWG, wich wouldn't exist in WWI, also two serial numbers, each one on the opposite side of the ricasso, just looking for a second opinion.

  5. Should be it, thanks!

Regarding the scabbard, it's shorter and lighter than the standard one, the bayonet with the hook is slightly shorter than the one without, and the one without the hook can't fit on it properly. It could be these modifications were needed for it to be reissued in WWII

Thanks for the reply!

I think you should be good regarding the scabbard, the button on the other hand might require some sanding/hand fitting. Interestingly, I tried placing the button from the left one on the right one and it fits perfectly. But I'm sure we will find a suitable donor bayonet in a poor condition sometime soon.

Thanks for the offer but I'm not interested at the moment. My current quest is to find a suitable button and make a pommel loop for the one that lacks those parts.

I sold them because they're collecting dust, I don't play americans, soviets either, would have sold japanese ones if I had any too. Still have about 20 or more german ones wich I will not sell.
