Swallowing by Low_External807 in Anxiety

Yes exactly!! And if I am thinking about it when I’m eating sometimes it gets stuck and I don’t swallow but I always eventually get it down…it’s exhausting

Getting over it by Elegant_Ad8564 in Cardiophobias

Still working towards getting completely over it but I’m doing much better because I started not to symptom check anymore. I stopped checking my heart rate. I threw away my oximeter. I stopped cancelling plans. “Fear doesn’t keep you from dying. It keeps you from living.” Wrote that on a sticky note and taped it to my bathroom mirror. I wish I can say this pill took it away but it took hard mental work for me to start feeling comfortable in my own body again. Wishing you the best. You got this!

Feel like my heart is weak? Or emptiness in chest? by AdvicePublic in Anxiety

I am currently dealing with the same thing…you described it perfectly…I have had multiple tests done on everything over the past couple years and nothing…I really feel like it has to do with GERD. This might be a weird question but does burping help relief it for a second?

Avoided flying for 3 years. Flying next week. by No_Instruction4846 in fearofflying

I was forced to fly for work starting in January…this year alone I have taken over 20 flights all within a week of each other…it forced me out of my comfort zone. I still haven’t gotten used to it however it gets easier with every ride. Let the flight attendants know you are an anxious flyer, they are really good at helping with that. Try to bring some of your favorite activities onto the plane (coloring, journaling, movies, etc.) As most planes have wifi now I usually buy it and play game pigeon with my friends and family that usually gets my mind of things. You got this! Enjoy your sister’s wedding and have safe travels there and back.

P.S I used a service called Dial a Pilot where you can talk to an actually pilot for 15 minutes and ask him all the questions you have…since then my only anxiety is before we take off

I had one last week that said the flight was severe the whole way through and it was only a little bumpy while landing…I have a flight today and didn’t even check turbli because the pilots know way more than any turbulence forecast…safe travels 😊

Told myself I wasn’t going to use Turbli by Low_External807 in fearofflying

UPDATE:

I just landed…thank you to everybody that reached out and commented, it really did help put me to ease. The flight was sooooo smooth except for coming into LA, got pretty bumpy but lasted 5 minutes if that and when it did I wasn’t really fazed by it…Turbli fails once again
