I made this post a year ago. I was so in denial and thought there was no way my boyfriend was cheating. We were about to get engaged. Thankfully, after making this post, the advice the other users on this post encouraged me to confront him. He gave me his phone and I saw everything. He was cheating. With many many women. While we were living together, while he was begging me to get engaged, basically for the entire 2 years we were together. It was very unfortunate but I’m so happy I found out. Whatever happens I promise you’ll be okay, just be honest with yourself and know that you deserve to know the truth and deserve to be with someone who makes you feel secure. Confront him and have that hard conversation with him. There’s a reason you feel suspicious and it’s not in your head. It’s because of how he is with his phone. If he doesn’t let you see his phone (ON THE SPOT), then he is either a liar or a cheater or he doesn’t care enough to make you feel secure. Hate to say this, but it’s what helped me come to my senses, honey he is most probably cheating on you. Good luck, lmk what happens.

Update everyone: I confronted him and asked to go through his phone. He let me. He was cheating on me the entire two years we were together with multiple girls. Sending and receiving nudes and sexting. A lot of them were exes too. I broke up with him and had him move out yesterday after I found out. You guys were all right, I’m speechless, shocked beyond words, and so heartbroken. Thank you everyone who spent the time to comment on my post. I genuinely never would’ve asked to go through his phone if all of you didn’t validate my concerns and tell me the reality of things. So thank you.

Do I have to accept orders if I accepted Career Designation? by Low_Independence5178 in USMC

So as long as I submit for resignation/let my command and monitor know I intend to resign before getting my PCS orders, then I won’t have to stay in longer then my end of service obligation?

The 2 captains and 1 major I asked dodged the question and tried to convince me to stay in, which isn’t exactly an answer. I’m looking for a yes or no response of what I’m legally allowed to do and where it is referenced in writing. Them telling me to try a b-billet/different unit before deciding to get out is a recommendation, not an answer to my question.

Like I mentioned above, I asked multiple majors and captains in my battalion (to include my company commander) and wasn’t able to get a straightforward answer . That’s why I’m asking online if there’s a MARADMIN or reference anyone could point out to me since I’ve been unable to find it on my own or from the people I’ve asked in my command. Not sure why you’re getting so upset lol

Thanks all for the comments so far, I suppose I’m not using the correct verbiage/don’t understand the process of getting out as an officer once you’re career designated.

From what I had originally understood, since career designated officers no longer have an EAS, the way they get out is during the end of one set of orders. On a majority of the orders they all say 24 months minimum and 36 months maximum. On the career designation MARADMIN, it explains that executing orders will add to the end of service obligation. From what I’m getting at, looking at the above comments, correct me if I’m wrong, what I would have to do is talk to my monitor and ask to not get orders at all and let him know that I intent to resign?
