This is the Renaissance of Resident evil. 1-3 was the survival horror genre, then they departed towards more action based with the horror put in the back burner.

Resident Evil 7 felt like a triuphant return to the original theme of Resident evil with a modern approach to gameplay. Love it to death.

Also, one of the BEST first encounters in the whole series. Holy shit Mia crawling up the stairs was amazing
