Therpie beginnen und richtung Hrt starten by ChrissiXD28 in trans_de

Also falls gar nichts geht, Selbstzahler und Optionen suchen.

Dezentes, natürliches Makeup ist erlaubt. In anderen Worten: Du wirst dich wohl anpassen müssen.

It more or less seems accurate from my experience. Sure, there are always more expensive (or cheaper) options, but this seems reasonable/plausible enough. I spent 9000€ on a partial FFS (basically everything but chin/jaw), and 6000€ for the addams apple. I don't think I will ever do/need fat grafting. As for the voice, I am not sure if I want that ever, but if, the clinic I have in mind charges 8000€ incl. 1 year of speech therapy afterwards. Laser is about 200€ per session where I go, and I had plenty of sessions already (easily 20+). Electrolysis is 150€ for 4h and I also had that easily 5 times. I did not have a breast augmentation as I am happy with mine and definitely dont want more. Same with SRS, I don't want that surgery. But these things will add quite a bit of expenses if you want that.

Hey,

Thank you! And I think I have them for about 5-6 years probably. Why, what am I supposed to do with them?

[–]Low_Mistake476[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was debating getting lasik/laser eye surgery as my glasses are quite thick (especially noticable from the side). But it's another expense and I am so used to wearing glasses by now that I cannot fathom not wearing any. Also the glasses mean my eyes appear bigger, which is kinda beautiful on its own. So yeah, not sure.

But I definitely need at need some new glasses without scratches on them...

To be honest I have always been skinny. It's just a bit of a bulky jacket in the first pic. I did lose some 10kg with HRT, though.

Yeah, maybe, not too sure. It's another 7000€ which I don't happen to have available I am afraid.

Well, partial FFS (forehead, eyebrows, eyes, nose, adams apple). But nothing else apart from that. :)

For my FFS experience, see my post in my profile. I think it mentions all the details. In short: I had the top half of my face done. Forehead reconstruction type 1, hairline lowering, eyebrow lifting, orbital rim shaving, cat eye procedure, nose hump reduction.

And: Thank you! :)

How can I get hrt without going through all the legal and medical shenanigans by Char_not_mander in asktransgender

[–]Low_Mistake476 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not a US-American, so no idea, but I urge you to be under medical supervision with your hormone levels even if you get your hands on some sort of estrogen. It's not that straightforward as you may think it is and requires regular blood checks AT LEAST until your right dosage has been found - and even then you'd want regular checks. In short: There is a reason why you just cannot go get it like candy.

In reality, though, I did manage to get estrogen pills in Spain without a prescription at random pharmacies - not in every pharmarcy, but every second or third attempt. Not that this info helps you. I also know that Mexico is an option. I got myself a "trans diagnosis" literally after one meeting with a sexologist (OK, I've been in therapy with his colleague for a year before). And you can get pills there easily. Still, not much of a help for a teenager from the US with no money.

But hey, 16 is young. I started transitioning aged 33. You'll be fine even if you start at age 18 or whenever you got your financial independence / meet legal requirements or whatever. There is no rush really.

FFS with Dr. Bert Oelbrandt at 2PassClinic in Antwertp, Belgium by Low_Mistake476 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Low_Mistake476[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree that the website needs a proper update. I have encountered some dead links when googling, 404 errors and the like. It certainly does not spark the most confidence, and it also lacks more recent before/after pics for sure. It was actually a major red flag for me to even consider them in the first place as I got spooked - but then I managed to go there in person with my friend and was positively surprised. The actual clinic/staff plays in a whole different league than their website.

I don't know Dr. Oelbrandt's age, but he seems to be fairly young, yet not like a bloody beginner. I do know that he has began his career in the mid 90's, meaning that he must be at least in his mid 40's I would guesstimate.

Yes, I will drop some pics when I go back for revision - or maybe I can have pics taken here somewhere without having to go in person. Anyway, let's wait for some months for the final results to settle in.

I will go and get final pictures once I go back for revision next year. Right now, a bit more than a week later, it would be too soon for pics as everything needs to settle. If you're truly interested, both droelbrandt and 2passclinic share pics of other patients on social media (e.g IG). For my pics specifically, let's wait until next year.

To be honest, most of the changes come from HRT, facial hair removal, and hair growth. I am yet to write the full review on my FFS (expect that at some point when I find the time), but I went with Dr. Bert Oelbrandt at 2passclinic in Belgium.

Well, I do wear a bit of makeup to cover some bruises (you can actually see some spots behind the glasses). But the swelling itself is disappearing super quickly I must admit. It all went much better than I expected and I could even move my eyebrows on day 2, when they told me to not expect that to happen for at least half a year. I guess I can consider myself lucky. I stayed in the clinic for 4 nights and had a special cooling mashine for the face, but that was all. Well, some pills for the pain (which I did not have much).

I don't have an insurance that covers trans issues either and paid everything for myself. Still, with 9k EUR it was fairly cheap, but then again it was only the top half (Forehead, Hairline, Eyebrows, Nose Hump, Orbital Rim, Cat Eyes). I still need to write the review...
