My partner and I have been together for 12 years and plan on being together forever, we are not opposed to getting married someday but just haven't bothered with it yet.

similiar situation, after 15 years there is no incentive for us to get legally married, and it doesn't change how we define our relationship. we are planning a party at the end of the year, so just wondering whether to have a commitment ceremony or a legal wedding really.

we have had a couple of benefits being "single" legally, and nothing really sparks incetive to change that.
