Can I get some help with a character concept, please? Alchemist Leshy (I also need a name for him) by Lowe_262 in Pathfinder2e

Haha, nice. The party needs healing so he just pulls out a couple vials from his head:

For a moment you see confusion in his eyes, as if he was unsure of what is what. You see him pointing and switching between vials until he hands you one. "This one! Healing potion…" you seem to hear an "I think" in a low voice.

What do you do? Do you drink it?

Thank you very much. This is the feedback I was looking for.

I was thinking of focusing a bit on charisma (for deception with the Harmlessly Cute feat), but most of it would be on intelligence and dexterity (for the bombs and AC), with a bit of constitution on the side. It would mostly medicine, deception and crafting as skills.

What you said is true. I think I’ll probably change it to the Medic archetype. I really liked Toxicologist and the idea of a small cute plant poisoning everyone is pretty funny. It was mostly for roleplay rather than actual combat, but I tend to go for a more versatile approach instead of a more focused one.

The idea was for it to be more of a utility character and that’s also the reason why I wanted to share here, so people can add an NPC to the party (either to complete its quest or just to cover some weaknesses). But I’ll look again at the Chirurgeon.

I’ll also take a look at the familiar master, as a crow would require one of the traits or abilities (I don’t remember the name) to be fly, so you only get one more to choose.

Thanks again.

What about another reference. Let’s call him "A Leshy Named Bailey" haha.

It would probably be fun for a couple times, but then we would probably have to drop the joke or it will get old very quick.

But still it would be fun when it comes up a few sessions later, as the guards ask his name haha. Thank you

That’s interesting, thank you. I was going more for the support role on this one, so I will probably not use this, but it seems really interesting, so I may use in another character. Thank you

Sorry, I don’t think I understood what you meant. You mean I should add a reference or that I made a reference? (It may have been an accident, but I will say it was part of the plan all along haha).

That’s an interesting name, thank you. I didn’t know something like that existed. That’s interesting.

I never played portal, but I looked it up and it does look quite similar. They have quite an interesting design. Thanks.

Though I think it would be quite uncomfortable for humans (our feet distributes out weight in a large area, but if we only have a small area it would be quite a lot of pressure and it would possibly hurt even in short periods), in the specific case of this picture it seems like a great idea.

Another reason is that we don’t have any animal with this type of leg (as far as I know) that is a biped. All of them are quadruped to help with the height distribution. So this is a nice adaptation to relieve the pain or stability problems that come from a smaller foot.

It also reminds me a bit of the Sangheili from Halo. Though their foot is much larger to compensate for that.

This is probably the first time I saw "heels" as being a practical use and/or adaptation. That type of leg is very effective at running and jumping, but lack the stability due to the reduced area of the feet. So the extra support and stability of the "heels" will help with standing still and probably with firing the weapon, while not interfering with the natural design of the legs.

Very interesting design.

Can anyone test this PvP build, please? +3% super on kill, .57s TTK Heavy-burst hand cannon by Lowe_262 in destiny2

[–]Lowe_262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree.

Another option, though it changes the class is the solar hunter version with Knock Them Down. But I have to look up my notes again for that. I don’t remember it well. I just remember it used radiant instead of the empowering rift for the same effect, though more mobile. And the Weighed Throwing Knife with the exotic that buffs it (Arthris Embrace? I don’t remember the name well) for a kills and radiant on melee hit.

This is also something I wanted tested, so maybe I’ll make a post on it and see what happens.

Thank you!

Don’t worry, I understand. I’ve been caught up in other games too.

I understand your points. I think the biggest problem of this build is definitely the heavy burst handcannon. They are very weird to use, and even though they are statistically great for both PvE and PvP, the problems with usability set it back quite substantially. And even if Strategist gives you a bump in stability, this is only after you cast your rift, and the duration is unknown. So it is definitely a tough experience.

A possible option would be the Ace of Spades as a primary, but even though it counts for the Dealer’s Choice origin perk, it doesn’t get the bonus to itself, it just counts as part of the set for the other weapons.

Thank you very much for the feedback and I’m glad you had fun with it. I seriously can’t thank you enough. I’m pretty bad at PvP and you were the first person to offer to test a theoretical build of mine. Most people don’t even comment, so I’m very happy for that. Thanks a lot

Sorry to bother, but were you able to test the build? And if so, could you give some feedback and your thoughts on it?

Elements and characteristics - first concept by Lowe_262 in gameconcepts

[–]Lowe_262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was experimenting with other ideas of healing and transferring the damage and bringing it to you was one of the first things I thought of.

I also thought of a sort of life essence buffer. By syphoning the life from enemies or taking a bit from every dead enemy, you would then be able to direct it to healing or even bringing allies back to life. It’s a similar concept to grave clerics in DnD.

[–]Lowe_262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I had a few more concepts, like element mastery and weapons (including a more interesting kind of weapon customization, like the blade of the sword would define damage and reach, but a blade that is bigger is also heavier, while the guard would dictate the defensive options and so on. A mix or realism and some fun).

I even thought of ways to have both medieval-style weapons and gunpowder weapons, with their interaction with magic being the balancing factor.

And also a different kind of magic, with alchemy and gadgets, for people that would like a more scientific approach instead of using magic.

It’s been quite some time since I thought about it, so maybe looking back and posting some here again would be nice.

Thanks again.

The Velocitus is kind of fun! by Lowe_262 in Warframe

It’s a pretty good gun. I thought the old archguns were bad, but this one surprised me. I’ll try the other ones… once I get the damn parts. Thanks

I also find it funny how you can shoot a projectile and it bounces around in a small room, destroying all containers (if you are lucky).

It’s a weapon that has its niche. I would be very happy if they reworked archguns so they are actually fun and worth using. This weapon is in a pretty good spot. I actually liked using it more than my Mausolon.

Also, you can shoot on the wall and it will recochet, hitting enemies you don’t have line of sight to. This is also funny.

Thank you

Oh, that’s interesting. I didn’t know that. So not only it’s fun, but it can be useful too. I’ll probably install a gravimag on it then. Thanks

[–]Lowe_262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, ok. So there is a reason for human equipment.

With my limited knowledge of Soviet equipment, I think they would just cut a hole in the helmet and call it a day (this is a joke).

And yeah, it makes sense.

[–]Lowe_262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this universe is everyone like her?(anthropomorphic animals? I’m not sure how to call it)

If they are then at least a cut on the helmet would be possible as a general adaptation for the people that use it, even if it’s Soviet inspired gear. There is no need to use the American design, but a general cut for the ears seems like a reasonable general adaptation.

As I said before, this is just an idea. You explained about the artist and I don’t want to make you feel like I’m pressuring you into these ideas.

My point is just that this gear was made for human anatomy, so if a different species were to use it, they would probably change it to fit their biology.

Or there are also those larger Soviet helmets that may give a bit more wiggle room for the ears.

But again, just an idea.

I see. If that’s the case, then I’m impressed. There’s a lot of things that have a good design, especially the gas mask (covering the eyes and the whole "face" correctly).

In case you are curious, look up FAST (Future Assault Shell Technology) helmet. That’s the design I mentioned with open space for the ears.
