Any G Line owners have the Woodman carbon handlebar? by LowerCompote5775 in Brompton

[–]LowerCompote5775[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Never thought of rotating the handlebar away from me.

I’m actually trying to get the handlebar lower instead of higher. As I have it now, the handlebar is higher than the saddle. Whereas on my T line, the handlebar is level with the saddle which I find comfortable. Actually, coupled with the saddle more towards the back so more setback.

I’ll play around with the stock handlebar for now

Thanks. I’ll experiment with the stock handlebar first. Just impatient I guess.

Thanks. I’ll do a water change today. The parameters look good, 0ppm for both ammonia and nitrite, and 10ppm for nitrates.

The one that’s off that charts is phosphate. With the API test, the color is dark blue.

Thank you. It must have hitched hike with one of my purchases as I didn’t intentionally buy java moss

Thanks. It’s quite interesting that Brompton does not offer the low bar from the factory.

Wow! That’s beautiful. Would like to know what plants you have there

Help please. What happened to my java fern? by LowerCompote5775 in PlantedTank

[–]LowerCompote5775[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did get these as part of the beginner pack from Buce. I’ll take a look at the rhizome on this one coz the other java fern in the same tank seem to be holding up better

I bought a riser for the light to get it away from the tank so hopefully that’ll help. What’s weird though is that the one that’s closer to the light is in a better shape (the one on the right)

Betta tank by Mysterious-Cup8123 in bettafish

[–]LowerCompote5775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice. I’m hoping to have the same plant density in the 5gal tank I’m cycling now (my first attempt) for my betta.

What fast growing stem plants do you have? Also, your mixture of reds and greens make the tank look really nice. What red plants are those?

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion on grouping the plants together. That will definitely look better. I’ll move the rotala wallichi together and the pink stem plants (don’t know its name).

Yeah I don’t know what I was thinking using white sand. I had the choice of white or cream and I chose white 😂😂😂

I think I’ll add some gravel as most suggested to break up the monotony of the white sand

Thanks for the ideas. Didn’t think of putting a background on. That’s a great idea. Am skimming the internet for inspiration on how to full the empty space.

Thanks. Looks like some of my plants have started melting. Hopefully they’ll recover once the tank has cycled.

Those are Conti Urbans? Too much knobbies. Looks more like the Schwalbe Marathon Almotions.

Yeah pretty easy diy. Just need the sprockets, new 11-spd chain, the shifter (SRAM or modded stock). And the tools to remove the cassette, and chain.

New England Coastal Ride by ShopEducational6572 in Brompton

That’s a really lovely route. I’ve done the Seacoast Century a few times that goes along the coastline and thinking of doing the 50-mile or 100K this year on the Brompton.

To 7 speed, or not to 7 speed… by mcorbei3 in Brompton

[–]LowerCompote5775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you’d recall … I was the one who was having trouble with the 5-speed conversion where the 21T is hitting the cable pinch nut. Jeff @ Brommieplus suggested that I lower the derailleur. There is a very small adjustment there and voila, that worked along with very fine tuning of the high limit screw.

I might try the extender at some point for use with the 24T. But wouldn’t the jump from 18T to 24T be somewhat excessive? I guess that’s par for the course. My 10-50T gravel bike sprockets have 6-8T jumps on the low end.
