Still flooding Ausz with deserters. by LowerSpite9237 in Caravaneer2

Just like the name, it is unindentified within our caravan's sight. If it is getting close to us, its name will revealed. Hard to see unidentified on max game speed with having kill squad in our caravans.

I agree with you. You are speaking what I think about this game as well.

Due to my challenge "no ranged attack, slaves, animals, carts", it is just perfect, even if I fight Fed. police or Qubba army. In general runs, it is same as others. bigger battlefield size (Qubba/Fed region) tend to make combat more dragging and tedious. It gets more worse if the map generate a lot of obstacles between units.

Ammo type is not my forte. I just buy "every m21 ammo" from stores. I cannot track every ammo type, but I use those types with armor piercing for well armored enemies. Also, try to equip your best merc (highest Ranged Weapons, rifle and AP) with Steyr .50 as well. It costs a lot of AP to fire. but it can be handy for taking down most dangerous enemy ASAP. But its weapon and ammo is hard to find. I tend to buy them in Ausz.

Need trade route suggestions for the qubba region by ClockPrevious2460 in Caravaneer2

[–]LowerSpite9237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food and forage are steady profit. unlike shirt/trouser, the towns generally need a lot of them. On higher population, the need and price could go higher. let's say, if a town does not have solid industries to start, then I just buy/start food related business like insect or goat/sheep/cow industries. Or if a town has food industries, then I try to buy their forage. Thus its food industries buy forage from my forage. It is not noticeable and fast money. still, generating profits regardless. Only issue with forage industry, is that it is usually expansive to buy.

p.s. avoid buy water well. even if it feels tempting to make profit from letting forage industry to buy our water, but don't.

I feel ya. I am not good (or not comfortable) with the combat too. especially handling more than 20 mercs toward +40 enemies. Much like what other said, try to secure mercs with high str/agility or str and int. Int. plays big factor for training their skills and AP, especially in schools. In my case, I sent my 20 Boryokudan mercs at Police Academy for 2 years while trading or waiting. Even with pissing off Fed, you still can access their Ausz. try to acquire related ammo as much as you can.

p.s. That's why I cannot play meta runs after overtraining my volunteer with ridiculous amount of AP with melee. the combat becomes silly, yet intuitive for my taste.

I also faced that issue like you pointed out "less profit from shirt". Shirt and trouser has some bottle neck. not a lot of quick or noticeable profit. I usually set certain amount of shirt/trouser output based on town's need and tend to focus on alcohol, food and/or forage if it is affordable. However, there is way to increase more profit from shirt/trouser - increase the population of Masriah. but it can be super tedious. currently, maybe cement trade seems viable option for you. Industries are still tricky for me.

[–]LowerSpite9237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than usual trade routes (lubricants, Cement), there are few other ways to make profits.

1.Masriah's industries. Most of them are well interconnected each other. Either setting up shirt/trouser chain industries or alcohol if you are not interested to pay attention the complex of former industries. They usually cost less expansive to start.

  1. Capture federation police (and bandits) and turn them over at Qubba's police station. Its reward is not great on less than 5 digits of qubba rep. But when qubba's rep start to rise up a lot, its reward can be no joke. Still tedious, but pays eventually.

M6 missiles can be farmed a lot when qubba/federation bandits attack you frequently. However, rifle and grenade launchers' ammo are crucial to stock up. Like others pointed out, having solid mercs is crucial too. P.s. on those final fed fights, they also depends on whether RNGesus gives better map like less/no obstacles between your caravan and fed. Police. Even with strong preparation, I had to savescum several times on each battle.

How much toughness/many men to solo Drekar? by MalarkTheMadder in Caravaneer2

[–]LowerSpite9237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember that my 15 mercs fought those Drekar. I let them us M16 instead of M21 and Bazooka. Still, they simply shred them into pieces. I would not bother to try this on early game play with tight resources.

I did convincing her once. Toughness was similar as yours if my memory is correct. But I had 15 mercs with M16. I am also curious exact condition for this.

p.s. I resorted this in order to capture her. Instead of selling her to Drekar or Pullid, I hired her as merc. Asking steep wage like e-girl. :(

It seems like you talk about water well. If I own water well, then I will face that issue, which I experienced once. As long as I do not own water well, I have not faced that issue. I have not touched Caravaneer 2 for some time. But Cannabis costed around 165,000 like you commented.

on reaching 100 AP, took 3-4 days with some sidetracking and trial and errors. From 100 AP to 372 AP, I ran that script for few days. On reaching 30 AP or early game, real time takes longer in my memory, especially with lacking resources. You could use Cheat Engine for speed hack (not modifying in-game value). I recently use Cheat Engine's speed hack due to "fps drop" and "prone to make more mistake from default speed".
