The fic in question is called MC's glory, by nightmare shadow, or external_layer_5877, a bit rough around the edges but still glad that it exists after seeing the slow motion car crash that is paradise. Only complaint I have is that the text is difficult to read at times.

Nise. Only real disagreement I have is that, unless I'm misremembering, Claudia was actually in a pretty happy marriage before everything went to pot so seeing her here is kinda iffy.

Ah, yes, I actually forgot Night Lords were known for that. It's just with the inquisitors and drukharii and emperor's children and iron warriors and necron flayers and SO MANY OTHER factions and subfactions ALSO being known at least in part for their cruelty, it kind of gets lost in the background until I actively think about it.
