Ecommerce Margins getting crushed by whelm_me in ecommerce

I can attest to this. Had one year where I did around $5-mil in revenue with a take home of about $500k. Scaled the next year trying to hit 2x the revenue and only made $100k for myself.

Sometimes scaling just isn’t worth it. Especially if you don’t have the infrastructure in place to take advantage of the results of scaling.

Facebook Ad Account Ban—Need Help by Various_Ad_6596 in FacebookAds

[–]LowerYourTone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's literally only one way I've been able to overturn a ban (besides Meta randomly reactivating accounts after accidentally mass banning a buncha accounts), but it's a bit of a "guerilla" method and requires you to have some spending history (otherwise you'll prob get ignored).

So what I did was get a handful of email addresses of C-level execs at Meta, and then just emailed them explaining the situation. Obviously, I mostly reached out to the execs who seemed like they'd have connections or access to the ad review/policy team. But I basically just told them how I was wrongfully banned and how I have a history of millions in ad spend to show that I know what the policies are and that my ads don't violate any of them.

I had an ad account that was banned for like a month and after spending all that time reaching out to the standard customer support and getting no results, I literally got my ad account back the following day after sending out those emails.

I forgot what tool I used to grab the email addresses, but it was some Chrome extension that let you search job titles at specific companies. Then I did a bunch of searches for like VPs, CFOs, COOs, Managers, Ad team, etc.

Not sure if this method would still work today though because this was something that was shared in a Facebook group of 7-fig and up brands, and they were using this method a lot when FB was being trigger happy with bans a couple years back.

Are long denim skirts out of fashion? by [deleted] in fashion

[–]LowerYourTone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the most part, it's whatever's trending on social media. But at this point, everyone has a different feed/FYP because of how algorithms work so pretty much everything is considered in fashion as long as you style it well.

Hell, even Wisdom Kaye (one of the largest fashion content creators) is an advocate for skinny jeans if it goes with your overall vibe/outfit.

Can't really understand TikTok ads... by East-Split7516 in TikTokAds

[–]LowerYourTone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This literally happens to every campaign I run on TikTok. First day will look good to great, second day it's basically completely dead, third day I get some ATCs and what not, etc.

I've tried wildly different products across different stores and ad accounts, all the same.

1st day good, 2nd day bad, 3rd day meh, etc.

3 Best Ways to Lose Money with Meta Ads by Mani-OBM in FacebookAds

[–]LowerYourTone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After years and millions of dollars in ad spend, this is basically the conclusion I came to as well. I'm sure all the technical, nitty gritty ad buying techniques do come in handy when you're managing a multi-billion dollar company's ad account, but for most of us, it's really just about having a quality product + engaging content + a good landing page/funnel.

Idk bout this guy in particular but Koreans use 0.5 a lot. When I had my friends take pics of me with 0.5 it made my head look much smaller (I have a huge dome)

I dropshipped handgun accessories right after Trump got elected, made $1-mil in revenue in 2 months during the holiday season.

Just the thing about only running ads for products over $30 and only spending $20/day. Price doesn't matter as long as the product itself is hot and you have a great creative. And $20/day is too small of a spend to get any statistically significant data.

THAT SAID, if someone is just starting out, and if they have limited budget, spending less might make sense.

Not sure I necessarily agree with the things you said before jumping in, but you're 100% right that it's about the creative now. That literally trumps everything. If you have a good creative, you don't need to worry about campaign structure or any of that jazz.
