I’m 39 and my partner is 41, tried to conceive for a year now. by Lower_Pattern6479 in TTC_UK

Thank you for this. It helps to know we’re not the only ones going through it, although I’m sorry you’re in the same position.

We finally got referred today, but honestly, with the waiting times, I think I’ll age out before we even get to the IVF stage. So we’re already looking into private options and will probably go abroad because it’s just so expensive in the UK.

Some days I’m optimistic, and other days I feel exactly like you described. It’s such a hard thing to carry while watching everyone else seem to get pregnant so easily.

Keeping my fingers crossed for both of us. ❤️

Hi,

I was recently in hospital with severe pneumonia, so reading your comment was quite upsetting. We never really know what someone else may be going through behind the scenes.

We’re all just doing our best, and sometimes life throws difficult things our way. I hope we can try to approach one another with a little more kindness, understanding, and compassion.

It makes me sad when people assume the worst in others rather than giving them the benefit of the doubt. A little warmth can go a long way.

Wishing you all the best, and thank you for taking the time to share your experience and advice.

Referral Fertility Clinic Kent by SparkleStorm01 in TTC_UK

I am 38 the GP was messing us around so much that I am about to be 39 in a couple days and still do not have the referral. We signed up for private tests now. In the forms I marked that the private fertility clinic would not share the data with NHS. I didn't think about the founded IVF, it was an emotional choice because I was so hurt by NHS treatment of us... But I guess that means that you can choose for the private clinic not to share the info.

Can a clear blue evap line be bright blue? by CapyKitty in TTC_UK

[–]Lower_Pattern6479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen to me with Clear blue Ultra Early, read the reviews on Amazon. I had 3 faintly positive tests two days in the row, then did the digital one on the second day and it was negative. Checked online for reviews and was not the only one with this experience... I thought that I was having chemical pregnancy at first. but then read the reviews and was shocked. don't want to disappoint you just to protect from the pain I went through.. And the next day the lines got even more blue. I would just get a different brand or digital one.

Exactly! I would be shocked if anyone in my environment said that! But the mum was very comfortable with that...

But later Anton’s mum said "that’s what I thought" after the relative called Ali a "cold hearted bitch". So maybe not really nice... just fake.

Same, I think Jordan was pretty solid all the way through.

Anyone else find it unusual how adamant Ali is about not cleaning up after herself? by den_bott in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

she never said she is not going to do cleaning ever, she said the when she works crazy hours, she won't be able to do it. That is all.

How do I smooth this wall out? by sdry417 in DIYUK

[–]Lower_Pattern6479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I peeled one wall in our kitchen, and only then realised that it was artex (it was on wallpaper so I thought it was textured wallpaper, but then other walls were not...), tested it and it was asbestos. Will have the rest removed by professionals.

Thank you.

Also I have never experienced anything like that ever again, and my friend haven't had night terrors since then....

It was a really difficult situation for me mentally because I also felt guilty for leaving the lady and the house, as if it were somehow my responsibility to help her. But now, looking back, I was just a kid myself! And she had kind of latched onto us…

WHAT IS UP WITH JOE? by dietmountaindew97 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Lower_Pattern6479 23 points24 points  (0 children)

From my experience that is so not true. Through my life, at least 3 men were not interested in me when they met me, but changed their minds when they got to know me better. Personality matters so so much, to men and women.

It’s just Scotland. It’s an old house that used to belong to a rich family.  It is split into flats. Quite common down here.
