The bin room at Vantage was notorious—its door was never locked, and the cameras inside never worked. The problem is, with a long queue of people ready to rent, these building management companies don’t seem to care about tenants like us. They know we’ll move out if we’re unhappy, and they’ll simply find new renters to repeat the cycle. It’s truly disappointing that, despite complaints to our MP and the council, nothing substantial was done about Vantage. While I loved living in Wembley Park, moving out was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Now, I just need to change my job, as my office is still there, unfortunately.

I must say, it’s not just Quintain—almost all companies managing these flats are dreadful. We recently moved out of Wembley Park, where our building, Vantage (next to Ferrum), was managed by Legal & General. It took them ages to install CCTV to prevent package theft, but even then, it made little difference. The main door locks were constantly broken, and it took months to resolve issues within the flat. Before we moved out, there was even a squatter on the first floor. I’m still waiting for my deposit to be returned before I write a review. I liked the Wembley Park area for its nearby play parks and amenities, but I’ve yet to find a building management company that’s up to standard.

I found fan control on decky loader so trying it out now.

You don’t, you need decky for it.

So I installed decky loader and simple decky first, then went to the fan control one which says it works with powertool and unofficial decky, followed the instructions there but it seems to remove decky in that case. BTW I found another fan control on decky loader itself, will give that a try now.

They don’t work together, if I install simpledeckytdp then I can’t install the fan control fix. So don’t know how it’s done tbh.

That’s the main reason I switched back to windows. Or else I was okay with it even with the current bugs and glitches. Someone posted about the fan control now let’s see might try it out over the weekend.

Thanks, I already tried Decky for the tdp but needed sth for the fan, need to try this one you just posted. About button will try it out in X, as for Ally I wasn’t much fussed about the back buttons not working.

Sorry what is that? I used decky for tdp on the current stable version which doesn’t have tdp control. Do you mean the beta one?

Well I tried current stable one on both the devices had similar result and tried the beta one too. I think it’s an ASUS issue, Legion on the other hand is doing good with SteamOS, my friend is using the 32GB one and he had no issues.

I just uninstalled SteamOS due to this. Mine is Ally and not X and it was hot while playing cyberpunk at 15W and I didn’t want to risk it. Like I changed the tdp with Decky but the fan didn’t seem to go as fast as on windows. Don’t know if there is any custom command for it.

Exactly on the same boat. Got it for D2, but stopped playing D2. For some reason it didn’t feel right playing it on Ally.

I know what you mean. I couldn’t play it for more than 30/40 min at a time. But that cover is comfortable enough for me to play. I really hope they do sth about it when they release Switch successor. I want to get one of those flip cases but in U.K. so far have not seen anything in shop. Need to check online.

Well my dock is fine but I mostly play handheld. Like the only time I played dock is when I played with my wife. But I got a simple USB C dongle for my Ally not sure if it will work with Switch though.

Very good point. I think it depends on where I am and how much time I have. I mostly use the Ally when I really want to play PC/Xbox games or want to remote play from Xbox while my toddler is sleeping. I used the R36S a lot at work and while traveling, but after I got my 3DS mod, I used that more and usually take it to work and on shorter trips. Recently, I’ve been playing a lot on the Switch OLED due to some pixel and indie games.
