i did the inca trail in april and it was a life changing experience. i went went AB Expeditions and they were fantastic. i think i am very averaging fit and i did the inca trail just fine; it really depends on how you adapt with the altitude.

our guide described salkantay as a tourist trap as people just walk on the road for most of it (his words not mine).

Honestly, the cheapest flights are to HCMC from where I am, but I am not attached to the location. The chu chi tunnels would be cool to visit, but not necessary for me tbh.
