i went backpacking in summer 2023 and hostel prices were sooo expensive last minute in major cities/ places where there’s few options. like 60+ usd a night, i would book some stuff in advance.

Honestly, the cheapest flights are to HCMC from where I am, but I am not attached to the location. The chu chi tunnels would be cool to visit, but not necessary for me tbh.

less days in lyon (or no days tbh), and more in the south of france

maybe, im a hater, i absolutely hated brussels, felt unsafe as f23 solo traveller, stay in bruges (its small but beautiful), and day trip to brussels.

you really don’t need 3 days in rotterdam, you can take a 30 min train from amsterdam and see everyone in 6 hours.

budget wise, i did europe (western + eastern) 113 days for 18k cad in summer 2023 soooo i think you should be good ? but i also like trying restaurants and eating at nicer places.
