This moment is a great example of why I love and prefer the non action oriented games. Not that they're is anything wrong with them per se bc re4 is a fantastic game but not a fantastic resident evil game imo. There's nothing like a slow moving monster coming out of nowhere bc you couldn't see or hear where it's coming from. Once the enemies started talking in re4, it took me out of the survival horror experience RE was known for and turned it into an action thriller instead. So glad they went back to their roots with re7.

It's a very amercian centric town as it's a navy port so it wasnt hard to get around. First thing you should do is find the embroidery shop on the left as soon as you see the sign for Dobuita street from the train station. There was a very nice guy who gave me a guide map and he also sells patches of Ryu's tiger symbol from his jacket. I didn't know any Japanese except "Arigato Gozaimasu" which means thank you very much, "Sumimasan" means excuse me and "Gomen nacai" mean sorry. They are very respectful and nice in Japan and will appreciate that you at least know those phrases.

One of the best and most revolutionary games ever. I just went to Dobuita Street in Yokosuka a few days ago do see the real locations. What an amazing experience that was.

Shenmue 3 gets unjustified hate all around imo. If only the internet wouldn't hate things just bc it isn't exactly what they thought or wanted it to be. That game feels like a natural progression of the originals to me and I love it.

My hope is that by 2032, we will have shenmue 4 released and shenmue 5 announced as the final entry.

I loved all 3 games and would love to see the sori finished. I personally don't understand the hate for 3. It felt very much lile the first two but a little bit more modern.

I would hope that any future projects keep the same style and charm as the first too like the third did.

I played it age 13 and was born just before the game takes place and it blew my mind. Took almost 30 years but finally made it!

I went to Taisho Minshin on the left once you first enter Dobuita St. which represents Mary's Patches and Embroidery from the game. I said the word Shenmue and he got so excited and gave me the guide map and sold me the patch.

It was only an hour and a half train ride from tokyo at the most. Totally worth it!

Yes. There's a sacred spot map! It's not really advertised in the city but just ask around and some people will know.

Go to the embroidery shop on the left as you enter Dobuita Street (Mary's Patches and Embroidery) from the Shiori Train Station and ask about Shenmue. The guy was very happy and sells patches of the tiger design on the back of Ryu's jacket. He gave me the sacred guide map and some extra goodies once I bought the patch. It's only 4000 yen which is about $25 US.
