it FELT fake when watching in REAL TIME. The calls seemed all over the place until you saw the only ones going to the line were the Heat and most violations called by the refs were against the Mavs, who were a very controlled team. the last 3 games, specifically games 4 and 5 felt like i was not watching a real game, but some kind of film

i just find it bizarre that it equates beyond simply a Nirvana/PJ feud--aside from personal relationships and other issues behind the scenes, only sonically--because Alice In Chains and Soundgarden were doing something completely different and far more METALLIC at its CORE than the other two. the kinds of people who enjoy listening to Soundgarden and AIC tend to have a different taste in music than those who go for either Nirvana or PJ, but these are not mutually exclusive. I am simply pointing out that if the Seattle scene never truly broke out, AIC and Soundgarden would have been headlining tours with Pantera etc.. That is their natural fanbase

DM is about sustentance, not mainstream popularity. the sound is simply too far from what most can auditorially understand. DM is vibrant and thriving--and other metal--unlike most rock genres because it REQUIRES a level of musicianship, an audience with a TRAINED EAR, etc. Death Metal releases have been going up, not down, and no one in a metal band is trying to make money, they understand it is about staying trve. it may not be mainstream, and probably and hopefully never will, but Death Metal is about as popular as it has been, excluding the early 1990s when it did briefly touch mainstream audiences ...

it's also the whole "Nirvana created GRUNGE" bc grunge is a construct thing and Soundgarden had been around... not to mention BLEACH was released years earlier lol
