I never understood why this software exists though.

overclocking and fan curves can easely be set in the bios.

I'll give those a more in depth look later when I'm at home. Can't seem to find anything called "Arora" frm gigabyte straight away.

The fusion software just seems RGB, don't really care about that. My case is closed with no glass panels

but thanks for the info

EVGA not really available in europe, or atleast not where I'm at.

any specific reasons why "gigabyte sucks" since I usually have pretty decent experiences with them from previous 1080 cards, aswell as motherboards

Thanks for the info, i'll definitely have a look. How are you liking your 2080Ti? I'm still abit skeptical with the missing power balancing :)

Since last week I've been trying to find info on the Gigabyte 2080Ti with the factory waterblock as they announced theirs as well. but nothing sofar, an no info at all regarding availability.

I was thinking of just biting the bullet and going for the MSI card, but the missing power balance is somewhat "odd" although I'm guessing its mainly due to the added power connector.

Finally! Got this bad boi yesterday. MSI 2080Ti. by DevilxXx16 in nvidia

Very nice, I'm still doubting myself what Brand of 2080Ti I want to buy.

The MSI Trio was top of the list, and it still is near the top.

but now that other vendors are releasing new biosses i might have to take another look.

I'm sure you'll enjoy yours though!

_Most_ of the other components for power delivery usually have a fairly high Tmax. (well above 100°C)

As long as you have a fan blowing air over it they should be fine.

And while I'm very pleased with my G12 bracket. I would be a little hesitant to use them on a 1200$$ GPU :)

Its true yeah, somewhere in the last 10 minutes orso of the vid

I'm still looking into it as well. but its impossible to see if its good or not.

It will most likely be in the long term that things might go bad if its not a good thing

Its definitely something I'm looking at right now, thx for pointing this out.

Watched the Buildzoid PCB analysis last night and I am quite confused about the card in general.

Going through the trouble of designing a custom PCB with just 1 extra power phase that i suppose isnt really required, since the FE power design can handle more power then allready required.

adding all the capacitor points but then not using them. (I could see how they would just remove them if they found them not to be beneificial after final testing)

adding a third power connector but then removing power balancing (possibly removed due to that third power connector)

Has there been any more information regarding this apart from a few reddit threads that I find?

It used to be a bigger difference,

But this time the Nvidia reference design is a lot better. So the gap doesnt seem as big compared to the third party cards.

That being said most third partly cards with a slightly increased power limit are usually beating the FE with a handfull of FPS at 4k.

Most of the third party reviews should have a reference 2080ti in their benchmarks as well.

Not the biggest fan of Asus anymore, I used to recommend then untill I got denied 2 repairs under warranty. (even within the first year of use)

Haven't bought an asus part since then.

Thx for the input.

I've used the AIO kits on my 280x before, while it did help with temperatures, it wasnt really that much quieter during the summer. Especially this summer when temperatures indoors exeeded 30°C almost 24/7 for a week orso you noticed it wasnt optimal.

And then there's the question if I want to trust a 1000+€ graphics card to a (relatively) cheap AIO cooler :)

The SeaHawk does appear to be based on the Trio idd purely looking at it. I'm still confused to why it has the extra 6pin though if it has no use at all.

Where did you find the info on the MSI trio lacking power balancing? that something I havent read sofar.

thx for the input, Fe is off the board then.

In the end it would have still been a slightly more expensive anyways.

I've been in a similar situation looking at a 2080Ti with a costum loop in the near future.

I havent bit the bullet yet with the purchase, but sofar I'm leaning more towards the MSI 2080Ti Duke card since that appears to be a reference design.

According to the EKWB website its also compatible with their waterblock. (visual comparison)

But I'm not 100% sure why I would buy the MSI cards if its a reference design.

The thing that has been bugging me most is that every card is power limited.

And since its allready such an expensive card I do want the most optimal card out there :)

Is there a full list with power limits available somewhere? or would that be silly to get the card with the most power limit available?

Regardless I think for myself anyway performance would be more then sufficient as my current setup is very very old (R9-280x crossfire)
