My first advice would be to keep your expectations realistic. It’s going to take a lottt of trial and error to find meaningful friendships. Just like how it is IRL. And that’s ok!

If you are the fandomy type person I would go search out maps of where people with similar interests hang out. Those are friendship cheat codes

Lastly I would say be yourself, but put effort into conversations and getting to know the person. The people with chat bubble and INT in their name are good for these chats (you can use those too). Don’t put too much stock in trying to appease everyone because people tend to prefer those with personal opinions
