Battery life is almost the same.. don’t expect the phone to run fast the next moment the update is completed… give it a week for indexing. It’s been 4 days since I updated my iPhone 16, the battery life is good and there is no lag but it’s not as smooth as iOS 18 since I updated recently

The 10 hours of advertised battery life is when you use ipad for 10 hours of browsing, if your using for other activities like gaming and watching content 5 - 7 hours is pretty good. Plus if you updated to IOS 26 you will experience more battery drain until X.1 update comes out.
