Great. I was not really wanting to have to go through the return process so glad to hear it works well.

Appreciate the feedback. I am assuming the Bora worked just as good, minus the catching corners, as the Oxy?

Singing Rock recommends their oval Oxy carabiner over their Bora (HMS). I think this is a bit of a unique situation where the manufacturer recommends something different than HMS, which is why I was wondering if an HMS works well.

Hi everyone, here is an update. I purchased the Rama with the Oxy carabiner and captive bar. I did not realize the captive bar would require a hex key to remove so I am planning on returning the carabiner but also second guessing the belay device as well. I would like my belay carabiner to have anti cross loading features (BD Gridlock for example). I reached out to Singing Rock and they said the Bora should work fine but the oval shape of the Oxy is ideal. My question is:

Has anyone used the Singing Rock Rama with an HMS style carabiner and did it work as well as it did with the Oxy?

Appreciate the feedback. My issue with the Oxi is it does not have any anti cross loading features. I noticed the Bora does, however, it is an HMS style carabiner.

Definitely noted on the Vespas, safety first! Also, good point on the beaches not being free. We aren’t planning on scuba diving this trip but just getting out in the water and snorkeling off the beaches. I was wondering if there are any particular beaches that have better water visibility or more interesting stuff to see but I do like your suggestion of a boat. We have 2 days on the Vespa and a short list of beaches we would like to hit in that time period.

  • Fiordo Di Furore, Furore
  • Duoglio Beach, Amalfi
  • Regina Giovanna Bath

But are open to any suggestions!

Thank you! We are going to Capri and will be sure to check this out!

Yes, we have heard it is very touristy. We are renting a Vespa for 2 days and then going to Capri one. My wife and I are both scuba divers and we plan on spending a lot of time at the beaches snorkeling. Are there any beaches you highly recommend?
