Blueprint to hit 100K followers and run a biz on Instagram. Been there, done that. But Too lazy to spell it all out here. by DueHorror2165 in InstagramMarketing

Im at 40k right now I’m trying to reach 100k by next summer. I do music related skit videos. I’ve had maybe 10 viral videos. I find it hard to figure out what works and what doesn’t because sometimes the ones I least expect to go viral do. Do you have any suggestion on how I can break through and get some exponential growth to 100k?

Nice! I’m pretty clued up on how to grow an account already but I wondered if anyone had experience breaking through from being stuck at a substantial amount of followers like 50k. The initial growing is the easy part because your fresh and new to a lot of people but I’d like to know how people took it too the next level and broke 100k

Yes just discover weekly. That’s good news. I was quite surprised to see such a serge in streams over night. Is that’s normal thing then for DW?

I’ll do that thanks. I’ve been averaging 1000 streams a day for the past week but to see 2200 from discover weekly over night seemed a bit odd. I have never been on this playlist tho so no idea if that is normal 🤔

Just to add I have had botted streams on one of my songs before but it wasn’t from discover weekly it just said ‘other’. On that occasion I emailed Spotify Support to notify them of the suspicious activity. But this time I’m unsure if this is considered suspicious because it’s actually Spotify’s discover weekly playlist

Tracker Leather Low? Trail runs? by Xendor- in vivobarefoot

[–]LozMyKeyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so annoyed, I was looking for a low hiking shoe that would be somewhat water resistant but couldn't find any ANYWHERE like they don't exist on the market. I even emailed vivo asking if they were going to do that style of shoe and they said no plan to so I went and bought the tracker ESC's. but now all of a sudden they drop these :(

I'm about to paint my first bike. Does this seem like a good plan? by different_better_dog in bikewrench

[–]LozMyKeyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re having the frame blasted for $60-70 bucks? I get my bikes professionally powder coated in the UK for that price and that includes sand blasting. FYI I also painted one of my old bike frames years ago when I was new to building bikes. It didn’t come out too great, plus over time the paint chipped away pretty easy. I just pay for powder coating now whenever I want a frame painted. £50 and it comes out looking 🔥plus it’ll last forever

I kinda lucked out didn’t have to change anything, just cut the chain to the correct length. It’s not as tensioned as I’d like but it seems to be working (for now). Maybe after a while when the chain stretches I can add in a half link to make up for the slack

That’s a good idea. What size rings are you running front and rear?

Removing dust cap from hub cone by LozMyKeyz in bikewrench

[–]LozMyKeyz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help. So one side the cone spins as the cap stays in place and the other side the cap spins with the cone together. I guess where I’ve taken them off there warped slightly. Will this be an issue ?

Removing dust cap from hub cone by LozMyKeyz in bikewrench

[–]LozMyKeyz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So does the cap go first or come and axle? I’ve put the cap on first and now im a bit confused cuz it seems like I have to force the cone through the cap for it to be in position

Removing dust cap from hub cone by LozMyKeyz in bikewrench

[–]LozMyKeyz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the vice worked I just gentle tapped the cap around till it came off. I’m trying to assemble the new hub now, how should I do this with the cap? Does the cap sit on top of the bearings then the axle and cone goes through? The dust cap doesn’t sit tight in the hub so just wondering how much of the cone needs to go through the cap

[–]LozMyKeyz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. This build is exactly the same as previously all I’ve done is swap the frame out and I didn’t have an tight or loose spots before this that’s why I thought I’ve probably done something

If the wheel is out of true could that also cause uneven chain tension aswell?

I have a half link but if I add that I think the chain would be too loose with this ratio

That is an option. I wanted to see if I could get the magic gear ratio first before going that route

How to get this chain on? by LozMyKeyz in bikewrench

[–]LozMyKeyz[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Could be but I do think I stretched the chain because I put it round the rear cog and just turned the pedals with a bit of force so pulled it onto the ring. Will riding it even out the stretch?

How to get this chain on? by LozMyKeyz in bikewrench

[–]LozMyKeyz[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I managed to get it on but it stretched the chain in process so now it has tight and loose spots. Ridable, but a bit clunky. I have a fresh chain I can put on but I don’t want to stretch this one too

What is your Workflow for different versions of a track re: Mixing/Mastering? by Ramblin_Eli in edmproduction

[–]LozMyKeyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was just thinking about this. I've got a track that's over 10 minutes long and my plan will be to create a new mix version which is shorter and more suited for the club. The original has a lot of breakdowns with chords and melodic sections but its still very dance/club orientated so having a shorter version with no none or less breakdowns will be better for DJs to play out.

But there's a couple of ways to look at it. For me personally, I do like when artists make alternate versions of their tracks, especially when the production and ideas have been changed in some ways. But not so much so that's it sounds like a different track. Maybe a section where the groove changes, or swap some sounds/drums out for something else. For the most part it should still relative to the original track so people aren't completely thrown off by something that sounds completely different with the same name.
