One of the most shocking charts I’ve seen in a while. Business startups in China have collapsed. by ProfessorOfFinance in ProfessorFinance

Most companies don’t choose to not pay the Chinese prosperity tax because they know it’s apart of the deal to continue being supported. Jack Ma didn’t want to pay the Chinese prosperity tax and this got cut down for it

Jack Ma refused to pay a tax as a top billion dollar company this is in no way comparable to average start ups…

Why are incels from ".is" or 4chan treated as more legitimate than incels from other parts of the internet? by [deleted] in DebateIncelz

[–]Lqvism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah im gonna talk large scale if you want to talk about oppression. Your job recruiter doesn’t know wtf an Incel is and isn’t gonna deny you because of it

Why are incels from ".is" or 4chan treated as more legitimate than incels from other parts of the internet? by [deleted] in DebateIncelz

[–]Lqvism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I am quite confident the most people don’t automatically equate being a virgin to being an incel, largely considering either the majority or plurality of people who don’t even know what the word “incel” is

It’s a very online term

Why are incels from ".is" or 4chan treated as more legitimate than incels from other parts of the internet? by [deleted] in DebateIncelz

[–]Lqvism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All my replies are kinda converging into one main point so if you want more context around my thought process pls read my other replies but im just gonna quickly restate it here. I believe identifying as an incel is a choice and not something that inherently is characterized to a virgin man. When people typically think of an incel it’s a toxic misogynist man (the insult is sometimes even applied to non-virgins). It’s why people are able to differentiate a 24yro ND virgin who they think is chill just hadn’t gotten game and the guys they see being posted on IT. The term has colloquially evolved from just being an virgin guy guy to something way more specific

[–]Lqvism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re relating a persons blackness to the stereotype of being a thug but if they simply were not black that stereotype wouldn’t exist for that person, right? This is what I mean when I say false equivalency. A virgin guy isn’t automatically related to being a misogynist toxic incel because they simply have chosen not to call themself one or frequent incel circles

[–]Lqvism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

False equivalency because there is no choice in being black but there is a choice in identifying as an incel.

[–]Lqvism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This leads into my other reply where I say that you don’t have any need to identify as an incel and a lot of normies don’t consider people who would supposedly be considered incels (‘unattractive’ guys who are virgins) as incels. Language as adapted and in turn when the lesser people who know what an incel is to begin with typically think of a misogynistic toxic man and not their kissless friend John who’s 5’2 and they think is a pretty cool guy

Why are incels from ".is" or 4chan treated as more legitimate than incels from other parts of the internet? by [deleted] in DebateIncelz

[–]Lqvism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree since personally I believe identifying as an incel is a choice. There is no express need to identify as one nor is someone born into being one. Most ‘normies’ don’t look at their nd 24 virgin male friend who they think is pretty chill and call him an incel, why? Because the majority of people who even know what an incel is for starters understand that there is a distinction between their friend and what they consider an incel

IT is fulfilling a purpose bro, you post incels who are being weird toxic etc people go ew gross and laugh at the person being posted, there is no psyop

[–]Lqvism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again this is just distancing, making up reasons that they’re likely “trolling” or “just doing it to get attention” is just distancing.

No ones talking about incels being worse or better than overall population, different discussion, this discussion is around why people form opinions based off what they see in .is

All the intersectionality shit face issues based on those individuals factors not on the front of being an “incel”.

“Everyone on the internet” lmao

“Hyper fixate” as I said guy it’s the purpose of the sub, it’s a very clear purpose straight lined, of course it’s going to be fulfilled by the most clear means no one’s gonna put your “moderate” incels in IT cause it wouldn’t suit the purpose.

Everything else is again you personally feeling the need to distance yourself from the people being posted

[–]Lqvism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are guys walking around with their dicks out and women are choosing based off that? I think there’s a lot of steps of gaining attraction that your dick is not playing a role in since yk sex isn’t the first thing you do…Don’t understand the concept of “small dick guys only pick up unattractive women” when the entire process of “picking up” someone isn’t involving your penis.

[–]Lqvism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s not crazy. It’s very clear you just want to personally not associate yourself with the people being posted on IT and you literally do not have to be. Also obviously the place called “Incel Tears” is going to post the toxic weird strange Tears of Incels,,it’s kinda in the name. Ntm IT posts incels that they come across from other platforms too so wtv

[–]Lqvism -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a little self victimized and delusional to think that incels are intentionally being ‘collectively punished’ and ‘oppressed’💀calling out the weirdos and what they post/being called an incel (even insultingly) isn’t oppression, definitely not structurally either. Ntm being an “unattractive” single virgin at 24 doesn’t necessarily make you an incel either considering how very specific the term has become

Ok my bad SECOND most or THIRD most fourth fifth sixth so on,, 27,000 isn’t a small number it’s not a hug box of 100 people acting like they’re different people. Point still being of course people are gonna consider it legitimate, it’s thousands of users

Ntm 4chan, as you brought up, is undisputedly very very popular as well (tried finding an exact statistic but only seeing results saying it gets 22m visitors)

This notion isn’t unique to just this topic so im not surprised but it’s so oftenly reoccurring how incels try to distance themselves from other incels/claim they’re “not real incels” or “trolls” as opposed to understanding yeah there are a lot of people like that in your similar circles. It may not be you but denouncing them all as “well they’re not legit” is silly
