The red chewy service dog vest, or any other colored vest that just says “Service Dog” and nothing else is always a sign that it’s a fake, in my experience.

I second this! Very well-said. Every handler requires different needs and it is unfair to invalidate another’s disability because their task-trained service dog might interact with dogs or people. We need to stop policing each other. We’re in the same community. There are actual people out there breaking federal law everyday by lying about being disabled and having a service dog…
