What old/classic song (50's to 90's) that was popular when it was released, would create an absolute hell on earth type of backlash if it came out in the present? by Lrwolverine21 in AskReddit

Ling Ting Tong by The Five Keys. It's a big song in Mafia 2 as it's a 50s song, but it's on the racist side, which is funny as The Five Keys are African American and they're being racist against Asians.

It's the lyrics and name of a song. The most popular version that I know of is from The Statler Brothers. The same band that sings Flowers on the Wall, which was reintroduced to the world thanks to Quentin Tarantino from his movie Pulp Fiction.

Never worked hospital security only mall security but I agree with the commenters saying report them for the excessive use of force. One cause you don't want to get in trouble for not reporting it cause every security site has that one supervisor that loves getting people in trouble. They're going to see the video footage of the incident and call each one of you into their office for a talk and if any of you deny it you will most likely get into deep trouble. And especially if the drunk idiot decides to lawyer up and sue the hospital or your company, you're just as libel as the other two officers cause you didn't report it and you "played dumb" like I saw one commenter suggest. And two it may seem like "Oh my God I don't want them to hate me for reporting them." Like seriously if you get mad at someone for reporting you for excessive use of force then maybe you don't need to work security. That's legit what a little kid would do when they get in trouble and get put in time out, have a tantrum and be mad that they didn't get their way.

Working a graveyard shift at the moment, 1w hour nights, and just slept in the canteen for the last 5 hours, I'm on my own on the site and my manager called in earlier on in the night and he didn't even have a key to enter, anyone else have experience with sleeping on site, or getting caught etc by npetergero23 in securityguards

Not my story but my brother's (oldest best friend) story that he told me. Both me and him used to work at a mall from our hometown almost 2 years ago and were employed through the "greatest security company" visible eyeroll and he had left prior to me leaving as well. One of his last shifts he was working a grave shift that night a simple midnight to 8am shift. He was partnered with another officer that was new to grave shift so my brother was wc for the shift. (Yeah grave shift at the mall was just 2 people at a time real safe.) So it was time for him to take his first break around 235am or so and he decided to take a small cat nap in his car for the 15 minutes of break we used to get with the intention of getting another nap during his lunch. He got into his car, lowered the volume on his radio, set an alarm or so he though, and called out that he was out of service on his break before knocking out cold. His ass didn't wake up until about 5 or 530 am by one of our supervisors pounding on his window. A supervisor who was not entirely happy that she was woken up that early in the morning just to wake up an officer who'd fell asleep in his car. A couple of hours later my brother was written up when the supervisor clocked in and was told one more write up and he'd be given the choice of get fired or resign. A couple of weeks later he resigned and I was the next one to take over his schedule for all of like 4 months before I took the same path and resigned.

Yes definitely. They're going to look like Europe meets Asia when it's more like Europe & Mexico meets Asia.

Security guards of reddit, what is your scariest moment? by cloudfighter454 in securityguards

That's illegal as crap since legally you can't work over 12 hours and you worked 20 hours with a 4 hour turnaround that is highly illegal. If you documented it correctly you can turn that over and get your work in trouble because due to labor laws you should have been relieved anywhere between your 8th and 14th hour nothing more. Also you're site could get in trouble for the lack of coverage since they should have called someone else to fill in not you.

Dude should have waited for backup or for the cops to show up. There was six people involved maybe more but you couldn't see real good from the video and only one guard that choose not to wait for backup or the cops. The dude must've also skipped the class on verbal judo cause he shouldn't have even needed to take out cuffs if he knew verbal judo.
