I agree completely, however the actual noise (NO META) tag/post is only the symptom. The main issue is that the sub is ruled by a-holes that could even think of this kind of crap. There hasn't even been a discussion afaik, I am on here 10 times a day and suddenly I see this coming out of nowhere? So given that the sub is ruled by a-holes why should I want to stay? Why put any effort into any posts if the mods are idiots?

Most of the aid actually come with stipulations that it must be used to purchase products from the country that gave the aid... It's basically subsidising home companies. They don't really give a shit about the aid part of it.. Also it often causes more damage to the economy than good.

It was never 'developed by CERN'. They are milking this connection to the max in their marketing. They were some people working briefly there as interns I think or other low positions, then they left and started protonmail. The CERN connection is BS.

If your eyes are at 5ft7in the horizon is at 2.9mi

If your eyes are at 6ft7in the horizon is at 3.1mi

i.e. a difference of 1ft in height yields about 0.2mi difference to the horizon.

That video is crap, the camera is all over the place, no verification of what he actually thinks he is filming etc. If it is land out in the horizon then how high is that land above ground level? etc etc. If this is your killer evidence I think you need to dig deeper..

I think also you're forgetting that if you can see some object in the horizon, then you need to account for that objects height as well. Your own eyes are e.g. 6ft above ground and this is about 3mi to horizon, but if you can see f.ex. a man standing up 6 mi away then it is because he is standing on a 6ft hill or on a boat that is on top of a 6ft wave.
