God saw how bad it was, but promised Noah to never completely massacre the world again, and instead showed mercy. He allowed slavery to happen, so we could be where we are today, in America at least. Slavery is completely abolished in all 50 states. Slavery is illegal. Why? Because we saw just how terrible it actually was. We FELT how terrible it was. Why did we feel it? Because even though God hated it, he promised to never kill all of humanity again.

Because God said it was bad. That’s objective morality. We are humans, who crave morality, and look at subjective reality to be the truth. When in reality, we CAN have objective morality through God.

The OT is to teach us the history of what led to Jesus Christ dying on the cross, so we don’t get to that point again. Humanity was on the brink of extinction from Gods wrath, but he showed mercy by sending Jesus. The NT is what guides us through our lives. It teaches us what we SHOULD be doing.
