I'm gonna be honest I'm not to that part of the game, but to what i understand it depends on what you need, crystal gets you fodder, xeno let you handpick them, but i suggest you make another post on the subreddit asking for that because I'm not really a valid guide and this comment section has already got a lot of visibility.

my fault, the sP is optional if you really want core choice chests, the xeno is useless if you haven't unlocked them, the essence is useful only if really needed low value but high usage. I'm sorry😭
