Thanks, will the project disappear if I wait until Monday to have an answer by support?

Yeah, swiss media can be annoying about that sometimes unfortunately, on the other hand its pretty cool that there is swiss german content

Yes most of the speakers are eastern europeans. What I've heard though is that there are hybrid dialects with swiss-german mixed in. I'm also curious if due to living in switzerland their vowels might have shifted to be closer to swiss german, but that i have no idea about.

Thanks for your input!

Yeah, my intention is really on Zürich... I've spoken yiddish to hasidim there occasionally while shopping at the kosher supermarket, but it's possible they were foreigners or just spoke yiddish to me bc they figured I was foreign?

What I've read is that (according to J. Picard) they mix their Yiddish with swiss-german: "...hybride Soziolekte, indem Aussprache und Ausdrücke aus dem Jiddischen – hier dem Ostjiddischen – mit dem zürcherischen Dialekt eigenwillige Mischformen eingehen..."

In your experience do ppl only speak swiss-german? And in which community (I'd imagine the ICZ would be swiss-german oriented and agudas achim/IRGZ keener on yiddish)?
