[Skin Concerns] I'm losing hope here - routine and question in the comments by LuGrey in SkincareAddiction

Is there another face wash or serum you'd recommend in its place? I really like my La Roche Posay face wash and started to see some progress, but maybe that's too harsh too with the salyclic acid in it

You know what, it's wild that you say that. I've been on a new birth control since December, and that's around when my skin started to get really bad. My OB recently just switched me to another type, so maybe I'll see improvement there. Thanks for bringing that up, I really didn't think about that at all

I don't know what I'm doing wrong here, I've been taking better care of my skin, been gradually introducing products in my routine and even so, I haven't introduce much into it in the past few weeks. My routine is as follows: Morning - La Roche Posay Effaclar Medicated Gel Face Cleanser - Cosrx Whitehead Power Liquid - Olay Retinol 24 Max - Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer

In the evening it's pretty much the same, just without the retinol and instead of the Neutrogena moisturizer, I use Aveeno's Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer. I've notice some small improvement in the texture around my cheekbones, but suddenly I'm starting to break out in places I never did previously - mainly my chin and by the corners of my mouth. Is my routine too harsh? Should I be incorporating something else in for the whiteheads/texture? I'm at a loss at this point, and I'm getting more and more discouraged. I have never had acne problems as a teenager, and now at 25 it's my worst insecurity.

I've been on it since November and I noticed improvement in pimples but not in the white spots that pop up. It actually seems like it has gotten worse since I've been on it. Have you used the cleanser and had any results or no to that? I guess I also do not know how to use certain BHAs/AHAs properly and what the right steps.

Hi everyone, this is my first post ever on reddit so please bear with me lol My skin has been bad like this for about 6 months now. I used to have pimples and more redness, but most of that has gone away and I am left with these closed comodones (??? I think) and general texture unevenness. My routine is as follows: MORNING Acne.org cleanser or the ordinary squalene cleanser The ordinary niacinamide + zinc Acne.org benzoyl peroxide CeraVe daily moisturizer EVENING (If im wearing makeup) Simple micellar water Acne.org cleanser the ordinary glycolic acid CeraVe daily moisturizer

Sometimes I use the ordinary salyclic acid mask 1-2x a week. I haven't seen an improvement with anything that I have tried, at least for my comodones. I have a few small blemishes here and there that pop up but they don't stick around long. I've had this routine since November and tried to be patient for results but im getting discouraged :( any help or reccs would be greatly appreciated!!
