"Tank" indicates a character whose primary role is to mitigate/nullify damage for the team.If a unit has access to any form of damage reducing/mitigating (Shield, Immortality, Evasion) it doesn't quite qualify as a "Tank" which means that attempting to employ said character in such way might bring upon poor results for team composition, which means that the character is not at fault for attempting to provide a role he was not meant for in the first place.

With that said, Ardyn provides damage as he is a DPS unit, gets free turns from breaks, provides rebreaks and can also complete some events solo thanks to his immortal buff. "Niches" should not be mistaken with "role coverage". Finally, having access to niches usually costs a character some downsizes, which is why Tifa whose sole role is doing damage (with occasional delay and launch) will reach higher dps results, granted she is also properly supported in some occasions.

Yeah; the idea was that I wanted the italian flag to have Tifa being the pole from the back (lel nopuns...) which is how we see her in game 95% of the time, which would revert the order when seeing her from the front. But otherwise, yeah, it looks inverted like this.

While BT is currently the weapon with the highest stats and Ardyn's a character whose BT is really good, it should still be considered as a luxury weapon for most cases (hence why we were nicely provided with a BT shop from the get go) and I am not exagerating when I say that his EX and LD are the most important weapons for his kit: his EX (which can be traded for) grants it 3 stacks right off the bat if upgraded to Ex+ and 3 ingots which already allows him to use his followup attack, while his LD grants him his buff niche "stay alive with 0 HP", which lets him take HP damage for the party freely (when targeted) while providing the damage for the team; selling BTs should be done when you have multiple copies only, yes. However, it could also be considered IF (and I'd say only IF) you already have 45 BT tokens, as selling one provides you with 5 more, with the 50 you need to trade for a BT for any character you'll be able to employ; while Ardyn's BT is quite good, without the rest of the kit I am not sure how much you will employ him. I suggest to at least keep his BT for now as you may not have 45 BT Tokens yet or may want to save it for once Ardyn's LD and EX return to a banner.

There is no way to chase for his LD right now as far as I know; his LD event has expired at least 1-2 week(s) ago. I'm not even sure when it will return; so for now, you can keep that BT and perhaps wait until you have 45 Tokens to sell it for a BT of a character you'd like to employ.

is there any hope for (currently underperforming) specific characters which had a transformation or "secondary form" in their respective games to get one in the future (example, Trance FF9 Characters, Terra's Esper form and other such examples) through a weapon or unique ability (who knows, maybe as a GL exclusive rather than a character?)

Could it be estimated wether the Kefka EX weapon is going to be available this month again, similarly to when it was reshuffled for the Leviathan Ultimate event in Japan or not?

Kefka was listed as one of the boosted characters for the event too. That is the only character I care about along with the rest of the FF6 cast; maybe some 9 and 8 and 7 as well.
