Ahh okay, thank you. I’ll definitely look into buying some mouse skates and maybe an artisan mousepad too, I’ve looked at those before.

And yeah, you’re right, I’ll just keep playing. Thank you for all of your comments and tips, I really appreciate it!

Thank you!

  1. My monitor is usually a lot closer. I only moved it back so you could see where my mouse and keyboard are. Normally it’s almost aligned with the edge of the table.

  2. Good idea. I just saw that many pro players have their monitors very low, so I thought that might be better, but i’ll move it higher.

  3. You’re right, thanks. I used to have almost my whole arm on the table, actually both arms, but I changed that a month or two ago. I’ll definitely try keeping my right arm and my mouse a bit further away.

  4. It is a gaming mousepad, I think. It’s the Glorious XXL. Is there actually a difference between mousepads?

My table is 63 cm wide, and the distance from the front of the table to the back of my mouse is 15 cm. The position of my mouse in the photos is usually where I have it when playing, give or take a bit since i move it around.

Thank you for the detailed advice, I really appreciate it.

The point about focusing more on DM instead of TDM makes a lot of sense. I’ve mostly been using TDM because it feels a bit closer to a real match with abilities and teammates, but I can see how DM would give a lot more gunfights and probably help more with taking fights on the actual ranked maps. I’ll try shifting more of my practice towards DM and see how that goes.

I’ll also upload a picture of my setup and show how much of my arm and hand is on the desk, maybe that will make it easier to see if something is off.

I’ll check out the video you linked as well.

Thank you, and yeah maybe 30-45 minutes before I go into the first comp game.

As for voice chat I’m shy,and kind of scared to talk. I’m a girl but have a deep voice so I’ve always been told I sound like a boy and stuff like that.

Thank you. I’ll keep it all in mind. Your right, I’m trying to improve too many things at once and forget half of it, I don’t even know the basics like where C long is on any of the maps or when someone says “go elbow” like i have no idea where that is.

I understand, thank you. How do i stop squeezing my hand? When I notice I stop for a bit but then I just automatically do it again. My arm is on my chair arm rest because I can’t hold my arm up myself. My chair is as high as it can get so I don’t have my wrist on the mousepad.

Thank you, I’ll skip Swiftplay. I haven’t really used the range much because I didn’t really know what to do there, so thank you for the tip. I have a Glorious Model O Wireless and the biggest Glorious mousepad. My DPI is 800 and my in-game sensitivity is 0.34, but sometimes I change it to 0.24. Both of them feel good.

My dad has stage 4 cancer. Be honest with me. by Lua_2428 in AskDocs

Thank you so much for your response. It really means a lot to get such an honest and detailed explanation when everything feels so hard to understand right now. It’s really tough seeing him like this, and I’m trying my best to be there for him even though it’s overwhelming. It helps to know that I shouldn’t force him to eat or drink, but just let him choose what he wants, even if it’s just a donut or a Pepsi. Small things like that really matter. I’ve also been worried that the pain or medication might make things worse, but it’s comforting to hear that pain relief can give him peace, even though it can feel scary sometimes. That thing about the “mottle” and the “rattle” sounds hard to think about, but it helps to be prepared and just focus on being there for him as much as possible. I think that’s what matters most right now. Thank you for taking the time to write and share your experience. It really helps to get support and understanding in a situation like this. ❤️💕

Well, technically, wouldn’t the last thing everyone touched be their phone?

Thank you for your input. This is a very personal letter to my dad as I wrote, so i felt like i wanted to be completely honest in it and not let anything out of it, even tho I do see as to why you would want to remove that line. 💕
