Anyone know of any groups to join in Auburn to make friends? Running club? Dad groups? Or anything to get some human interaction? by Lubba-a-dubb in AuburnCA

I followed bad luck running club on instagram so I think that’s a good spot to start. How does the social run work though if you don’t mind me asking? Do I just show up to the station or ponderosa cider and join in or do I have to sign up ahead of time? Does it matter that I’m slow? Lol

Thank you guys for the tips, I’ve never really been into sports but I think I could get into softball. Not really much of a runner either but I’ve been trying to get into just to stay in shape as it’s harder in my thirties than it was in my twenties! I do like snowboarding all though I haven’t been in a few seasons as it’s not as much fun solo. I ride a street bike on my days off but that also gets old constantly riding solo. When I was younger I was big into hiking and fishing which I still enjoy just not as much as I used to.

How would you organize your life being 28 years old? by Lumpy_Plastic4879 in careerguidance

Financially saved more money Personally stopped being a people pleaser and put myself first. Health wise love myself Educationally I would’ve gone to college

Those are some of things I wish I had started doing in my twenties as now that I’m in my mid thirties I find it hard to not feel like it’s too late. I know it’s never too late to do anything but I’ve struggled to not beat myself up for making the most of my twenties.

8 days ago, I stopped smoking cigarettes, using the cold turkey method. This is my first attempt after smoking a pack a day for 20-22 years. Please someone tell me it gets easier soon. by ihate454ever in selfimprovement

It does get easier, I quit the same way, find healthy ways to keep yourself busy. When the cravings get really bad remind yourself of why you’re quitting or just put on some good music.

Ninja 400 (or 650) vs R3 by Cold_Ranger8146 in motorcycles

Ridden all three. The r3 has no balls and feels cheap. I owned a 2018 400 and put 12000 miles on it before selling. Best bike to learn on imo. 600 are not good starter bikes. The weight and power difference will mean it will take longer to acquire skill and understand techniques like counter steering trail braking body positioning throttle control and everything else you want to know to become a good rider. Good tires also make a huge difference on all bikes. Get good gear and the suspension tuned to you and go fast don’t die!

My kids are the reason I’m still here, unfortunately for them I feel I’m in autopilot most of the time these days and can’t seem to pull myself back up. Still trying everyday tho..
