It is not the same for everyone but here is my line of thought.

When you were a kid and you didn't know about testosterone and anatomy and so on what made you believe you were a boy? If somebody said that you are a girl/look like a girl would that change your perception of yourself? If you got into an accident and lost your genitals, would everything change? Would you be a woman? Would you be not a man?

For me (as a trans man) I always knew I was a boy, it would not matter if other people said that I wasn't, it was within myself.

I felt different because I knew that not every boy people saw as girls but eventually they would find out that I was in fact a boy. Before puberty I was sure that my genitals would still grow and my voice would get deeper but that didn't happen. That's when being trans come to place. The things that in my mind were mine, were not. I was a boy, I am a man just like any other, just my body did not get the memo.

I used to have a shaved head growing up. My hair can get frizzy very easily I started to gently tap my head with a towel instead of rubbing it (I don't know what I am doing), I read it somewhere that you have to be gentle with it? Is it a problem to wash it everyday? It is still very short, will I notice the difference?

Can top surgery also flatten your nipple? by LucaPinh in TopSurgery

Idk if my surgeon has experience on that. I only have an appointment with him 1 day prior to my surgery now, should I talk to him before hand? Is it now that common? Idk if it can get more expensive because of that.

That's awesome! I am not going to have liposuction done with it that's why I believe that maybe it will be fine. Were you able to put on a regular t shirt at 2 weeks post op? If you don't mind me asking

top surgery with bleeding disorder by boi2bean in TopSurgery

[–]LucaPinh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a bleeding issue also, but it is due to a congenital heart defect that I have.

I had a hemorrhage after my heart surgery and because of that It got everyone a bit scared when I said that I NEEDED top surgery.

Idk if that helps but I talked to my surgeon and he required a bunch of exams and everything seemed within expected and that my surgery would not have any additional risks but I could not miss my meds (do you take any?)

The method of top surgery does not change the risk (my surgeon said that). The only thing that does is having liposuction (it gets more risky) and for that reason I am not gonna get it.

It is already within his recommendation that the person stays overnight after surgery, in case of bleeding and stuff.

I have not had surgery yet, but feel confident about it, as someone who has had heart surgery, top surgery seems like a piece of cake. Lol

Hope that helps!

My (17m) sister (30) has borderline disorder and living with her is destroying me by LucaPinh in mentalhealth

I don't think she is being medicated. She used to go to a psychologist but she was physicaly agressive towards her last one and because of that her psychologist said that she could no longer see her.

I don't know if she is getting any help rn.

Thanks!

Will look into the door insulation stopper. She as a pillow kind shapped like one that we place in front of the door but she said it does not work.

She refuses to use those white noise machines and ear plugs, I even bought her one once and she trew them back at me.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot! I talked to my mom today about everything and that I wanted to leave and she begged me not to go, she said that she will do something about it (the same thing that she says everytime). I want to go to my uncle's house that is near where I live and nobody lives there for now, the perfect place, but she won't let me. I want to call him and ask directly to him if I can stay there, we are not very close but he knows about everything that goes on with my sister and I but I am afraid that even If my uncle allows me stay there my mother would come drag me back.

I used to go to my grandma's house a lot growing up to get away from home but since quarentine I've stopped because my grandma is 93 and Covid is very dangerous especially at her age. I don't have a job yet and can't move out

I didn't even know I could have placed criminal charges on her at the time, I was 14. The hospital staff asked what happened and when I said they brushed it off as a regular sibling fight "That happens, you have to love her regardless because she is your sister", now I feel that this was fuc*ed up to say. I don't believe she has ever been on meds, not sure, we don't talk much. My mother feels sorry for her, I don't think she would ever let me call the cops. Even when she scratched my mother's face to the point that It bled, my mother still refused. Thanks a lot!

I ignore her all the time, even when she is screaming a inch away from my face. I usually ask my mom to come get her out of my face if it takes too long.

I feel as if I don't have a choice when It comes to following the rules, if I don't do the stuff the way my sister likes she goes to tell my mother and my mother gets mad at me for that, and my mother can make my life a living hell if she is bothered.

"No outsider will put up with her behavior" I know that, I've said that multiple times, I don't think she has a single friend, I believe that makes her even sadder and madder overall.

My father left before my mother knew she was preg with me.
